I'll be so pissed if we sell him without getting a shot next season.
Unless he's going to play regularly he's better off staying on loan or sale with a buyback imo.

I can't see him as 1st or 2nd choice right now, and 3rd or 4th striker not going to do much for his development.

I guess it depends on what other teams are chasing him
For sure but I’m just saying I don’t think Man U making top 4 this season will be a factor as I assume he’s making a long term commitment.

It‘s always been the thought process with football supporters. You don’t make top 4 = you won’t be able to sign your top targets. There’s plenty of evidence to show that’s never really been the case with top clubs.

If Declan Rice wants to come to United, he won’t care if the club finishes 7th. But as chef said, there will be other clubs in for him too.

Much better value elsewhere. Rice is definitely a Utd signing. They will shell out 100m + because he is English without considering the likes of Tchoumanei, Sanches, Kessie etc.
He is a classic United signing but he is also levels above those 3 you mention.

Those players may take 1 to 2 seasons to come up to speed in the Premier league though, that's the difference in my mind.

They may do, but there's also no guarantee Rice fits straight in at Utd either.

I can understand 100m on a top class attacker. But on a DM? Just not worth it IMO. There's options elsewhere available that can do 90% of the job for 20% of the price.

20% of the price? You must be devastated you spent 50m on Fabinho rather than 30m on Renato Sanches.

Rice is more than just a DM, hes a complete mid fielder now as well as hes such a great leader. Would captain United for the next decade.

I'd take him over any other mid available.
