Travel Increase for Vic Clubs

Bad news for those smaller Melbourne clubs used to only travelling 3 times a year...

5 games by 10 clubs is 50 therefore non vic teams will have at least 6 of their 11 home games against Vic clubs. take another against the local rival each year leaves 5 against non vic clubs.

Nice to see the 24 game season is completely forgotten

Only 22 games, at least for the next 2 years....

I think the AFL's mutterings on a 24 round season (with two byes) lays the responsibility for a 23 week season squarely at the venue operator's feet.

If the AFL want a longer season they will just have to play week 1 at smaller venues

even the pies couldn't win the week after a Perth encounter

Lost one after the buy and nearly lost the other.

Alternatively, lost all 3 games to Geelong - a better side.

Best side nearly always wins.
