Sad news today, although not altogether unexpected. I hope he doesn't have any future issues with his foot and I thank him for his great service to the club.

I shed a tear or two when he was traded to Freo and I shed another now. Loved the way he played. One of my favourite Trent moments was the interview with him by Channel 10 after the win against Collingwood in Rnd 6 2008 when he spoke, with his usual huge grin, about the his team-mates in the 'battling backline' - 'we're differnet but we love it'! All the best Croady.

Cant wait to pay my respects when you get around to doing your lap of honour, will try not to lose my voice.

One of my fondest memories of Trent was at the family day the year he returned from Freo. He spent hours that day re-embracing the Hawk faithful and was still signing autographs and posing for photos late in the day when many of the other players only appeared for their designated appearances and had long gone.

I hope he has a long future at the club as an ambassador and mentor.

Great team man??? You've got to be joking. He selfishly played injured in a grand final was no use to the team, going off in the first quarter and hasn't played since. Team??? He wouldn't know the meaning of the word.​

It's a great credit to Croads character that he never got bitter about the 01 trade and couldn't wait to come back to the Hawks, yet here we have a SFW calling him selfish.


And Willie_Rioli, sure people should have different views, but there is a time and a place to voice them. But then again that would be expecting to much for some SFW to have half a brain.


This is a good reason why I have very little time for this board anymore.
