Emigrating or just a working holiday? So many questions…

I’ll have to console Dingle tomorrow night when I catch up with him.

FMD - got a letter from my insurer advising that they'd been doing an audit and apparently I haven't received all the discounts I should have, going back to 2014. I've got two policies with them, so I've received two cheques (despite having a direct debit set up for the renewals) - one for $3.15 and one for $2.67. I can't remember the last time I received a cheque - apparently you can put them into ATMs without having to speak to a bankie!

When I was about maybe 10-12 years old, my folks got a tax refund, via cheque in the mail, for 40 something cents, and the truly comical part was the price of the postage stamp on the envelope with said tax refund was more than the actual refund inside!

I got a tax bill one year for 90 cents, so that was worth the ATO's while to collect that amount. I worked near the ATO's office, so I went in and paid it personally - handed over a $1 coin and got my 10 cents change.

Russian ruble now worth more than it has against the USD and AUD in like a decade lmao. Putin genius confirmed.
Russian stock market has been on a run of late. Year to date the RTS is now down 18.86% after initially dropping 42% when the invasion started.

YTD falls of 18% is roughly on par with the Dow Jones, DAX, and the French and Swiss market.
