I watched the new season premiere of Oak Island they found a bit of old wood.. 10 seasons deep fukcing lol

I have no idea how that show is even a thing. Absolutely nothing of even remote consequence has been found.

Of course. Their next tweet doubtless included
6) Invest all your savings at our piddly deposit rate and/or in a variable rate mortgage on a place you can't afford

Step 1 - don't buy pointless shit that will likely end up in the trash anyway.
Step 2 - don't buy any gifts. Only exceptions if you have kids.
Step 3 - transfer your mortgage away from commonshit bank to somewhere with a decent rate and close all your accounts.

Step 4 - Sack Hinkley. Can't hurt?

Just to ask a question on something on a tangent from the main theme of your post.

I was curious when I saw you mention about Abernethy - I know he initially grew up in Ouse in Tasmania. I'm quite curious about what brought him to SA initially (assuming he wasn't recruited directly by PAFC from a Tasmanian club).....did he move to Adelaide to complete his schooling? Did he have a family connection here?

If you've been to Ouse before it will all make sense

Which I'd read this when I was at school - or when I was trying to help my own kids with their maths at school...

EDIT:

And having now read through the downloadable pdf of the book - available in the link above, the prologue sums things up pretty well.

The same can be said about physics and chemistry where understanding the language being used is the key to 'getting it' imho. Sadly too many teachers/academics are too busy showing off they fail their main job role - to educate and inform.

Abernethy as recruited from South Australian Amateur Football League (SAAFL) club Rosewater and debuted for Port Adelaide Football Club in the SANFL as a 16-year-old in 1978.

Throwback to an ancient post I wrote remarking the Magpies back six of the 80’s being arguably the greatest to ever come out of the one zone/youth grade pipeline in the history of the code:
