Everything is bonkers at the moment, might not be a bad move to wait for a bit.
How is it possible that I can get 150sqm of urban stone paving done, 150 box hedges put in, two new areas of grass, irrigation, removal of like 30 agapanthus and a bunch of roses, new fencing either side of the house, deck restored and retaining wall fencing re-done for 45k.

But you want a 4x4 bathroom done and it's 55k lmao.

Fml that’s so much money. Wasn’t long ago you could build a house for that.

Are they doing more plumbing ?

Is there extra charge for shower fappers mess he left behind?
Not really no. Most things are staying where they are.

Is probably more dangerous that removing asbestos.

lol second bathroom quote, 75k. First was 60k.

This is so dumb. Think i'll just let my current bathroom decay a bit more and try again in a year.
Wtf, I just did a bathroom reno for $10k!

Admittedly it wasn't huge 4sqm, 8 ft ceilings, left all the plumbing in the same spot and kept the fixtures to base level but had to get guys to come out 2hrs from Adelaide to do the work.

For $75k I'd be expecting a plunge pool connected to a natural hot spring?!?!

Wait, are you asking why capitalism?

Aren’t you like a ‘young liberal’ or something.

For 75k you could pay someone a full time salary for a year to wash you, a bit like Eddie Murphy in coming to America.

Lol. Do it yourself. YouTube, get some free tiles and practice on some scrap surface like flat timber mdf / plasterboard.

At the very least strip the place yourself, that should be easy, take one day and save a mint.

It's the time that's the cost. Working all week then having to work weekends is shit. Unless you can take time off work while you do it.

lol Amazon Prime hiking membership costs by 40%+

Friends of ours just got a quote to redo their kitchen and add another bedroom at the back of their cottage that was more than what they paid for the house 8 years ago.

For those that have kids in childcare what did you look for? Is there much difference between centres and what they offer? Or was it just convenience that governed your choice?

Huge difference between centres. Convenience is a big consideration but there are some very shoddily run centre out there. It's usually pretty clear when you visit.

Yea Prime can go fukc itself then, I'll be down to the free foxtel rort with streaming.. it's crap but better than paying for Kayo

I get prime for free from a mate in exchange for binge. LOTR was trash, WOT was mediocre.

Keen to watch the expanse though. Have heard very good things.

Some centres have a bit more of an education focus which is good (Montessori, Reggio Emilia etc). It’s not a strict lesson structure or anything but there is some basic learning attached to the activities that they do.

Class size was another consideration. Too many kids will always equal mayhem.

But as bomber said you’ll get a good feel for a place when you check them out.

After binging all 3 seasons of the boys.

Season 4 is about to come out isn’t it? Wouldn’t mind betting that’s part of the reason for the bump in subscription fee.
