DC literally weighed more. Stipe better? that's a stretch.. even before we saw the result. From what I saw, people that picked against DC did so because of size, not skill. Stipe, Cain, Fedor and now DC.. all seemingly undersized fighters compared to the biggest boys at heavyweight; probably everyones top 4 of all time.

Roy Nelson made a career beating seemingly better and bigger opponents. Frankie Edgar? Randy?

The UFC probably wouldn't exist without the idea that skill and technique can overcome perceived lack of size or strength.

That would be my guess. DC said a while back he wants to be retired by 40 and a fight with Brock would likely set him up for life. Pretty sure he's already said that he won't be fighting unless Brock passes every test USADA throw at him and taking in to account his failure in his most recent fight, I'm sure there'll be plenty of them.

Not yet apparently but brock still has fights on his deal from back when he had the hunt fight

Watched the replay tonight, super impressive from DC. Heard apparently DC knew Stipe usually has his hands low after getting out of the clinch, if so, super impressive execution of a gameplan.

Stoked for Pettis too, hopefully this win is start of an extended run and march back to the top.

I say this as a long term pro wrestling fan but have zero interest in the Brock fight. He eeked out a decision win against Hunt on the juice, so having around decade without a convincing performance and the level DC is still at, im not sure how he gets close to DC. Has has covered with wrestling and totally covered in fight IQ.
