side note big john McCarthy posted on twitter you don't stop the fight unless they are out or tapping,so Mario messed up no question..

I just noticed that Dana mixed up the names of two different poor refs in his Rage. Steve Mazzagatti and Mario Yamasaki hahaha

I'm pretty sure that was intentional, but it is funnier to think of him rage instagramming and getting confused.

Not sure what you mean he didn't have his other hand linked up. Lee had the Gable grip on the choke which is more than enough to finish.

Was sad to watch the shell of BJ Penn lose again. I had real hope when he dropped Siver with that uppercut that we were going to get one last highlight in his great career, but he just didn't have the energy left. The BJ of 10 years ago would have mounted, taken the back and RNC'd him in no time at all but yesterday's BJ could only sit in side mount. Hope he retires after that as it's just no fun watching him anymore.

The controversial ending aside, that was a great showing for Lee. He even called his shot in the pre fight talk that he was better than Chiesa in that position and would prove it. The ending sucked a bit for Chiesa, but I think he was about 2 seconds from being out cold so don't think it had any impact on the fight at all. I think they'll put him in with Barboza next which should be a very interesting fight.

It's hard to believe it was only 2 and a half years ago Hendricks was giving Robbie Lawler all he could handle in title fights. He looked terrible yesterday, both fight wise and condition wise. Happy that Boetsch got the win as he seems like a good guy and will likely show up for his next fight on weight.

Can't help but feel bad for Kish after her incident yesterday, but I expected more from her. She's one of the more physically imposing straw weights in the UFC and she's tough as hell but her technique hasn't evolved at all. Felice did a great job exploiting holes in her game and has likely set herself up for a meaningful fight down the road. I'd imagine her and Waterson will be up next.

Reyes certainly appears to hit hard. The fight really didn't tell us anything as Christensen hardly fired a shot, but I'll be keeping an eye out for his next fight. Lord knows 205 needs some new prospects!

Means did well to last through Garcia's early assault and did a great job of picking him apart in the last two rounds. He wasn't as aggressive or creative as he usually is, but it got the job done against a heavy handed guy. I thought Garcia's cardio looked a little better than it had in the past, but it was still a pretty disappointing performance by him and a missed chance to build momentum off of the Pyle KO.

Koch had nothing for Guida on the ground and looked very hesitant on the feet. I was impressed with Guida's stand up which looked a bit more polished than usual and agreed with the commentators that he looks so much better at 155. If he's the Guida of old again, I think the game has likely passed him by and he'll get beat as soon as he steps up. If Alpha Male have added a few new wrinkles to his game though, he may have a decent run left in him.

There was also a first on the latest Hex card in Australia. Ashkan Mokhtarian's younger brother pulled off a teepee choke on the undercard which has done the rounds on social media. Vid of it can be found here:
