De La were missing:

Oconnell
Muller
Allan

After Ten Minutes:

Murphy went to hospital
Humphrey off with a groin
Figgis torn hamstring

5 of these players are in de la's top 10.

Would suggest they now have a pretty solid stranglehold on this competition.

No josh harris aswell

im interested to know if the above blokes got injured that wood mean the premier side wood have to call upon more players from the south 1 side who wood be in line for the call up?

Parket excluding humphrey, the other two you named are not in the best 5. They are both passengers.

As for stranglehold, I will qoute only what a De La official said after the game on Saturday...

"Thank God Noonan wasn't playing... We have absolutely noone to play on him".

We won't go into Xavs injuries, players unavailable. All I will say is that Xavs have De La's measure...

I have been hearing whispers that Michael 'pascal' De Fontenay role as captain could be gettting upgraded to captain coach status Coach Bourke is looking at a possible move to Richmond or Kangaroos. Also Old Westbourne have added more cash to there very enticing offer to bourkey.

All the Best

Baz

Pat Carroll will tear Noonan a new arseh*le.

If muller, allan, oconnell, grant, humphrey, murphy had have all played, de la would have won by 10 goals. Even with noonan.

I Highly doubt a de la official would say that
And they do have someone to play on Noonan
The best fullback in the league P. Carrol
big raps on this kid no the biggest but just a really solid defender, only thing that will stop his dominant run in the under 19s is if the seniours take him.

i agree xavs arnt a long way off but please, with all those players out from de la and injuries it really was a gutsy win by the de la boys. i am very impressed

Apart from Noonan the Xavs had a full side on the weekend so no excuses for them... In regards to P. Carrol playing on Noonan though, is that why De La through Muller back on the galloping racehorse in Round 1?

Mmmmm, Carrol is a NO...

Carroll was an unknown round one.
Played one quarter, in the midfield.

Since about round 3 has turned himself into the best fullback in the league.

Noonan v Carroll come finals time will be a great battle.

LOL....................... LOL again

i missed the game on the weekend what happened to tony romo/ned murphy? hospitalised?

just spoke to mr. davies at sportsbet, with neds start to the season he is still at $1.02 for league b and f.

Everyone is quick to right of Xavier. I think unwisely.

With so many players missing can you take much from the weekend?

One thing is for sure though, Noonan would not have won the game for Xavier.

muller never played on noonan. however, dont write off xavs. noonan or no noonan they will be a force come finals and who knows what they may or may not achieve its all just speculation

carn beaui. lets keep it up, starting to get a real stranglehold on the competition now. i helped us get over the line and i will not stand down to the pretenders of the league such as xavs and de la.

Right huge week in footy!!!

Xavs vs Scotch

You would think that Xavs have second place in the bag but a loss here could see them drop a couple of games to teams who might be fighting for a bit more towards the end of the season i.e. relegation and that final spot in the finals... will be a great game I’m tipping Scotch by 3 points!!!

St Bedes VS Beauy

Possibly the winner has the final spot in the 4... i feel St Bedes need the win more than Beauy do due to their disgraceful percentage.... personally i think Beauy will punish them don’t rate St Bedes at all and i think the top three would prefer St Bedes 4th rather than Beauy.

Blues vs Marcellin

Really a must win game if blues are to stay in the finals race... I think they are a good side and when have a full team can match it with the best...

Thoughts?
