the yulas team on the weekend was a little undermanned with a couple out injured and injured during the match. not sure but trinity looked to have many different players than last time and to be honest didnt look as good as last time we played them. they still won though which is credit to them.

very impressed with the reds win against OI. cant have been the same team we played the week previous.

Not sure if any Banyule or B-T U19 players are running around in their seniors, but you'd have to think that OT will get all their good U19s back, and probably OI, as neither are likely to play A grade finals (well OTs definitely not). However, Reds may well have 2 or 3 running around in D1 finals.

This would put them a fair way back in calculations.

wouldn't be a smart move by any people on this forum to let others know who is and isn't coming back. I know its only u19s but i'm not sure why you would advertise these facts especially about your own team?

How many of these are there? Are you simply takling about the ones who havent played any games for the 19's or others that might play for the seniors in finals?

the ones he would be talking about are spargo and del monte. who are 2 absolute guns and will be massive ins for the hoes if they do play. which i don't think they will because they won't qualify and i don't see the seniors dropping those 2. greer would be the other one but i think he would have qualifield already for the 19's, even after playing a few senior games.

cave, stop whinging mate. all teams have injuries and players out. trinity were missing 2-3 gun players also and still got the win over you pathetic lot. banyule have no structure going forward and many of their players just kick around corners and don't actually look to where they are kicking the pill. won't get far in finals playing like that. still keep coming up with excuses, they amuse me.

dont know if you were there champ but we only had one on the pine and he was a colts player. also read the next sentence before you cry about what i post. it clearly says that the trinity team looked very different to last time ie they had good players out. was simply commenting that the game was not as good quality as the drawn match and that this was due to the fact that both teams had many changes since the last meeting making both teams worse.

ROUND 13 TIPS

Quick tips this weekend. Too tired and watching the footy.

OLD CAREY vs BANYULE/VIEWBANK
Banyule easily over the boys from Carey. Banyule will be pissed off losing to Trinity last week in a game they couldn't have won and it will take their anger out on a very lack lustre Carey outfit.

OLD IVANHOE vs OLD ESSENDON
Tough loss last week to Old Ivanhoe who now will be looked at by the competition as vulnerable. However they should look at bouncing back from that disappointing loss and absolutely smash OEG who continue to be disappointment of the season.

OLD CAMBERWELL vs OLD PARADIANS
Old Camberwell lost to what is the cursed ground for every other club that plays on it. I speak none other than Ted Ajani Reserve. Paradians got belted by the sharks and this week, looking for a win will again be a struggle as I believe come match day, Old Camberwell will have the legs and grit to get over a determined yet undermanned Paradians side.

OLD TRINITY vs FITZROY REDS
This will be again another cracker of a match down at Bulleen. Fitzroy will be feeling pretty good and will come out with nothing to lose having been the only team in the comp to knock off the former unbeatable Old Ivanhoe. Trinity however are not a team to be taken lightly, at home they are pretty unstopable themselves and having beaten the tough side of Banyule down at the cave last week will be looking to continue their steller season to the finals.

BULLEEN TEMPLESTOWE vs MANNINGHAM SHARKS
This should be an interesting game this week between these 2 as they have both come off solid wins and will be looking to get ahead of each other down the business end of the season. These 2 are pretty even too I believe, on paper and results anyway. I'm going to go with Manningham as they seemed to be in better form side going into this round.

Sorry for the shortness, usually alot more in depth but I've cracked the shits now that Carlton lost to the so called 'best listed' St Kilda, anyhoo, good luck to all teams, hope you come out with the 4 points.

Hk

WOW.....trinity; after talking it up all year just as much as banyule; have fallen to Fitzroy.....dissapointing and really opens up the finals series as one that is up for grabs for any of the teams that make it. It's been said before; but whoever brings their game on the day will take home the goods. No more certainty's!. good to see.

Good call HotTip, it's shaping up to be a great and surprisingly even finals series.

Wonder if anyone can confirm but I heard that OT had all they're guns playing including their senior blokes?

interesting to see fitzroy knock off 1st and 2nd in consecutive weeks, as hot tip said this means no team is safe now and makes the finals very interesting. also saw that manningham get over bulleen temp by 5 goals.

any thoughts/best players from the games on the w/e??

two flukes on the run for the redders!

keep em coming boys

How many so called 'flukes' do the reds need to pull off to gain some respect from you numskulls.

The whiners that Old Trinity are were outplayed on their own ground by a better team. Basically they could not handle the pressure that the reds applied.

I've got respect for all teams in the league and I thought that the Reds win against OI was good, but in all honesty a bit of a fluke. However after backing up against OT this past week it's fair to say that Fitzroy should be respected by everyone now.

Just wondering if OT had their best/full side on the park, and whether or not all their so called "guns" were playing including the senior blokes?

trinity had a really off day. were not switched on at all and probably a loss that they needed to have. word is they are getting cocky. in their favor though they were missing 5-6 of their best players through injury/senior comitments. speaking to some of the fitzroy boys they were really keen on shutting down morrison at chf and also guerra and coulsen-hoffacker, 2 of their key play makers and they informed me that they did that with great success. should be a very interesting few games of the season with fitzroy really giving themsevles everychance to play finals.

seems to me like OI and OT have just been making excuses when they lose unexpectedly. every team has injuries. every team has players that are up with the seniors. just sounds like u guys cant accept when you've been simply outplayed.

Finally somebody says it how it is.

Don't know where you get that idea from. Haven't heard any OI guys tooting their own horns or whinging when they get beat like some other blokes on this forum.

it's frustrating when you get someone who represents your team coming on here and talking your team up and making excuses and whining when the actual other members of the team don't really care what is said on this forum. it's just opinions really but some people need to keep their mouth shut and stop ruining the reputation of teams and their players and just accept, like buddylove said, that you've been beaten by a better team on the day.
