The word 'grog' to describe alcohol. My dad used to say it, thought he was referring to moonshine instead of Hahn's light beer. Sounds like an illegal drug.

Indeed. Back when we were fresh out of school there was a girl in our group who referred to everything as grog. So annoying. Hearing an 18 year old girl go on and on about grog while referring to Pink Cruisers just seemed dumb.

Good dreams. I don't mean dirty ones necessarily, but just any kind of wish fulfillment type dream.

Last night I dreamt I was playing in a Z Grade basketball team, and a modern day, ie, old, Larry Bird showed up and said he was interested in playing for my team. He was talking trash and we were shooting around and i was asking a lot of stuff about his career and in my dream I am thinking wow this is mental it's Larry Bird and he's going to be on my team.

I woke up with a big grin and today seems much better.

Reading all 11 pages of a thread, on a quiet day at work and having so many posts bring up good memories........

Also, for the shower beer lovers, my wife brought me a bath beer.

Her words "I figured if you love shower beers, bath beers are worth a try"

Stumblin' towards onomatopoeia. Also underrated: the club rendezvous with your mates at 4am and asking how one another did. Always good for a story and a laugh.
I would have thought clubbing would be too mainstream for you.

Was down the park on the weekend and noticed... the sheer difficulty of goalkeeping in soccer.

Like most sports the pros make it look reasonably easy... but when you get up close to a goal you realise what a ****ing huge area it is for one person to cover.

It's no wonder they completely lose their shit when their teammates let an opponent have an open shot.

Agree with this. Grew up not drinking water at all, only last year did I chuck out the soft drink and juice, and replaced it with water and can really really enjoy it. Especially if it's good.

By far the hardest spot on the field.

Those times when you approach a red light and silently pray to yourself for the light to turn green and then it turns green.
