Racks are good. Sometimes I just prefer a good shank though.

In prison - yes, on the golf course - no.....on the prison golf course I'm not sure.
 
Freezing in the bathroom on a cold morning, then stepping into a hot shower.
Driving in the wee hours when you have the road to yourself.
That first day after winter when it is warm enough to wear shorts and thongs outdoors.
Bad food/drink after heavy exercise.

The word 'grog' to describe alcohol. My dad used to say it, thought he was referring to moonshine instead of Hahn's light beer. Sounds like an illegal drug.

Speaking of vaguely grog-related vernacular...

The phrase "throwin' shapes." Fantastic set of words, such connotations.
 
'Mackin' on' is also nice and descriptive. The word 'mack' sounds like a drunken hook-up.

Stumblin' towards onomatopoeia. Also underrated: the club rendezvous with your mates at 4am and asking how one another did. Always good for a story and a laugh.
 
The day after the first training session of the season. I love the heavy legs. Great feeling.

I used to love retiring, only to be talked back into playing about 3-4 weeks out.

A few weeks in the ressies, and up into the league.

I managed this 3 years in a row in country WA.
