He may have more value as an elite small defender or small forward (which is unproven) than as a handy but flawed midfielder.

100% agreed. Might top out as a B grade midfielder but could be an A+ small defender.

i agree. So what annoyed me in the swans game was seeing Shiel in the guts when Stringer was resting on the bench

id rather see McGarth or Caldwell in there with Darcy and Zac when Jake is not in

We’ll continue to have a large group rotating through the midfield until injuries force some of them to take the entire load. McGrath rotates back, others rotate forward and off the wings. It’s not feasible to have 3 guys take every centre bounce for the entire season.
