Ill do you one better.

say you and the boyz are gathering at mates place. Dinner time rolls around and there's nothing on the grill. Home owner/tenant says lets get pizza. Do you and the crew chip in?

Yeah this would be usual. Though I find these days it's easy for blokes to say they have no cash, or ask you to use your Uber Eats account and they'll pay you later. Same for people who claim not to know how to order an Uber.

Yes but as I do not ever carry a cent on me unless I know I will need it, if said mate wants cash then I would be wanting prior notice.

The lack of cash is a pain. If you're ordering in, one person is going to have to put it on their credit card or Uber Eats account. I'm not a fan of transferring cash to bank accounts, I'd rather square up next time. But the bigger the group, the harder that is. If it was two or three friends round mine, I'd just pay for it myself.

I would not be anywhere where dinner plans are so blase.

Also, that depends if it is dominos!

Yep. Instant bank transfer using payID would be used so you can see it came in before if let people eat!

I'm not rich by any means but spending $100 for food for some mates who will square it up down the line (those who have the means) is something I wouldn't waste a second on.

Yeah im the same - most of the time its the same crew that are hanging out at different people's places. The idea is to chip in but all of a sudden after a few beers everyone forgets and by the next day you realise nobody put in or i forgot to put in if im not hosting. Quick msg saying what do i owe ya and reply is normally dont worry about it (i reply the same if ive been the host). Talking $50-$70 worth of pizza probably so not going to break the bank.

Ill go to my brothers and sometimes he'll talk me into a few beers and that turns into half a slab. I havent taken any beers. Ill just drop around a slab the next time im over. Its not a big deal if you dont have it on the day as it usually evens out
