Club got fined every time we sung it. Lucky we hardly ever won a game. Lot of unhappy campers when the netballers belted it out after winning their grand final...

I think the Jonas 3 year deal to Jonas is actually the worst contract we have given out. The guy had an absolutely horrendous 2014, his 2015 was slightly better but he is a fringe player at the very best. O'Shea is a better athlete and kick than Jonas and he gets delisted and Jonas gets a 3 year deal, WTF? The game is evolving to a point where all defenders need to be able to use the ball well under pressure as well as kick accurately when transitioning the ball. Jonas is one of the worst disposers of the ball I have seen play AFL football. Not only that he's not even a good athlete, he is slow and his leap is definitely nothing special. The game is moving past Jonas' skill level and athletic ability, was last year and its only going to get worse and we give him a 3 ****ing year deal. This kind of BS is why we have no money in our cap and have literally brought NOTHING in this year and we expect to compete for a finals spot!?

The Hartlett deal is a f***ing pisstake as well but this is another level of dumb.

TBH, even Jonas thinks that the Jonas 3 year deal to Jonas was the worst Jonas deal we could have offered Jonas, and Jonas backs that up too. Holy Jonas

erhaps, just perhaps, Jonas was willing to take less $$$ than O'Shea was?

Those stats show Jonas is a better contested mark, does more 1%s, and makes less clangers. For a defender that's what you want.

I wouldn't confidently call either of them better than one another. Both have had long, long stretches of mediocre form, a lot of brain fades (2015 was a disaster for Jonas) but they've both had their moments. O'Shea particularly in finals.

I think O'Shea has both the higher highs, and lower lows.

Jonas just slots in between that somewhere; He's the safer bet. Three years is still baffling though.

Jonas and O'Shea took a combined total of 4 contested marks last season (2 each). So chuck that out because he doesn't do it.

Even Daniel Talia is having to be involved in the ball movement now, the way the games going it is vital for defenders to be competent kicks of the football. Jonas' kicking is appalling whether the stats show it or not. Not only that he runs like he has lead in his shoes. I would've given them both 1 year deals and then sent the one who played worse packing. Other than maybe attitude there is no significant difference between them in terms of quality of footballer.
