More than half of America's adults have literacy rates of primary school or below. I'm not sure intelligence mattered much in this election.

It clearly didn't given the result.

America has a massive problem with the Murdoch media and with the intelligence of its voters that they need to address.

I think the only saving grace here will be that his mind doesn’t look like it’s going to make it another 4 years anyways

Americans don't care they will re-elect him regardless because they are morons. Short of death nothing will stop him staying in.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will still be very young (as far as politics is concerned, she'll be 38 in 2028) but she would make an AWESOME U.S President in my opinion.

I'd actually like that version of the United States.
No chance no matter how impressive she is ( and she is). There not ready for a female President. If Hilary Clinton couldn't beat Trump and MAGA AOC won't beat somebody like Vance either. Newsom is their best bet because he runs California and has a presence about him already and is more left wing than either Harris and Biden are. There needs to be a complete opposite vs complete opposite agenda. Sitting in the middle doesn't cut through.

Get with the times. The party voter demographics have flipped.

Harris campaign received almost one billion dollars, Trump $388 million.

Your Democrats ARE the party of the wealthy, they have more of the high income voters, their donors have significantly more money and influence. The sooner people recognize this the sooner they will begin to understand what is happening and why?
... did you seriously not read the post you're quoting? It wasn't even that long.

Here, I'll make it easy for you and avoid all that explanation, give you the tl;dr version:
I think that people have always gotten it wrong: there are and have always been two parties for the wealthy in America. Just, one of them is honest about it.
'Get with the times', eh? Perhaps you could try reading the entire post, as opposed to replying to the first line.

There will be a national abortion ban with no exceptions.

You've been brainwashed
You realise that the only way this could happen is if every state voted against abortion. All of them.

And today Missouri, Colorado and Florida all enshrined abortion rights into their constitutions.

Mod Edit:
Missouri voters enshrined abortion rights in their constitution Tuesday, positioning the state to undo one of the nation's most restrictive abortion bans.

“Tonight, through the sheer will and power of the people, Missouri becomes the first state to end a total abortion ban at the ballot box,” Abortion Action Missouri Executive Director Mallory Schwarz said in a statement.

Missouri currently allows abortions only in cases of medical emergencies. There are no exceptions for rape or incest. The amendment guarantees people's right to make decisions about their reproductive health, such as whether to get an abortion, take birth control or get in vitro fertilization.

But the amendment does not explicitly undo the law, meaning abortion-rights advocates will need to sue to overturn the ban.
Colorado voted Tuesday to preserve abortion access in the state constitution and lifted a 40-year-old ban on using government money to pay for abortions.

Amendment 79, which prohibits any state or local government from denying, impeding or discriminating against the right to abortion access, was passing 60.9% to 39.1% at 8:26 p.m. when The Associated Press called the race.

In Colorado, one of a handful of states where there are no restrictions on when during a pregnancy abortions are allowed, the amendment prevents the legislature from adopting abortion restrictions. Abortion has been legal in Colorado since 1967.

The amendment also strips from the Colorado Constitution a ban on using public money to pay for abortions. That prohibition was passed by Colorado voters in 1984.

This means that insurance plans for Colorado’s tens of thousands of government employees could cover abortions. It will also allow Medicaid, the government insurance plan for those with low incomes, to pay for abortions. Current law allows Medicaid coverage only in cases when a mother’s life is in danger or when the pregnancy is the result of rape or incest.
Voters in six states have approved measures to protect or expand abortion rights, but a bid to restore protections for the procedure failed in Florida.

The ballot initiative in Florida would have allowed abortion until the point of foetal viability or about 24 weeks, but fell short of the threshold of 60% support in order to pass.

Results are still pending from some of the 10 states where abortion is on the ballot in this election - the first presidential contest since the US Supreme Court struck down the national right to abortion two years ago.

This post is declared misinformative.

A lot of media pundits trying to be wise after the fact now that Trump has won when a lot of them called it a Kamala Harris win.

Waleed Aly called it a Kamala Harris win last night on The Project, the smartest guy in the room will be looking a bit silly tonight.

Too early for Barron to run for president, he should be embarking on an NBA career rather than a political career with his height.
Not a betting man but did think the odds on Trump beforehand around $1.60? looked quite attractive.

America is mysigonist full stop. A fair chunk of your typical working class male wouldn't vote for Harris, in part because she is female. Go an look at a lot of the comments from the far right winged element about women being vessels to their husband, or not being allowed to vote etc.

Women voters don't care about a persons race, sexuality or gender. But voting trends for males, the lower class, white males, particularly in red states. Show male voters from that demographic are more judgemental. Men have shown little support to female candidates across many types of elections. Trump won the male vote quite well. Whilst it may have only played a marginal part, it would have still played a small part in a tight contest.

Democrats have failed twice now with a female candidate. Though Clinton did have some baggage behind her. But voting trends shows a few men are still not willing to accept a female president yet. Sad but true. America is way behind the rest of the world in that regard.

Let's say the Dems get back in in 4 year's time.

Do you think an Ivanka Trump MAGA ticket would work in 8-12 years?

"They're eating the cats, they're eating the dogs, they're eating the pets" would have been the end of any other candidate, without mentioning the felonies and scandals...

What the **** America, seriously

It's a coherent sentence, something neither Sleepy Joe nor Kamala could manage.

So you think Kamala didn't get the male vote because she's a woman and it had nothing to do with the fact that she's grossly incompetent and hysterically stupid?

AND he's giving the health portfolio to RFK. You can't make this stuff up.

Get out the popcorn. We will now see how ****ed up America can get with a Trump presidency, a friendly supreme court, a friendly senate and a cleaned out public service.

Bwhaahaha omg is that serious?
