Name the 11 guys who played last night that are not in your best team.
As I know you won't..this topic is now closed until you lose another game with a weakened team.
You are the boy who cried 'weakened team'

Surely you aren't suggesting me ol' mucker is barely on a nodding acquaintance with the truth. Heaven forfend.

The bit in his earlier post indicating the VAFA would only offer $150, 000 p.a for a new CEO is a tad hard to take seriously though. As is the bit about the lead candidate (there are two still in the hunt I believe) asking for around $400,000 p.a

I've thrown a few barbs in the direction of the VAFA but I doubt the executive would think there is any prospect of luring a candidate with the record of sporting administrative achievement (although desirable it doesn't necessarily have to sporting either) on a pay scale of around $150,000 p.a. What's the saying, if you pay peanuts you get monkeys.

You would think a key part of the role is increasing the revenue base which is what a quality candidate would do and no quality candidate would take the pay cut indicated by me ol' mucker I'd put.

Gentlemen, the bull@hit meter on my phone is draining my battery so please stop. Congratulations to Collegians on a deserved victory. Not that it means anything but 8 of the round 2 team + Gilham did not play yesterday. Make of that whatever you want. Collegians won, too good yesterday, let it go & prepare for round 7. Good luck to all.

I doubt there would be a club in any Grade of the VAFA that doesnt have 8 diff players from Rd 2 playing this week.
So we make of it nothing.
It was only brought up by your spokesman. Nobody has even been interested in this excuse ever. It's just a nothing, that's never mentioned outside of SKOB on this forum. I just hope 22 of your best 22 don't miss sometime this year. That would be funky..

Had you stopped after the first two sentences I'd have been with you most of the way. The good luck to all at the end was nearly sufficient to overlook the other stuff, but not quite.

You'll have to excuse my facetiousness. The only point I was trying to make is that none are out through poor form, they did not play in any grade yesterday. I have no doubt there are a heap of teams with 9 changes, but minimal without a few in a lower grade.

Don't waste your time, there's clearly an anti SKOB agenda, if the truth be known there were 18 unavailable who have played reserves and seniors this year, as you well know, which makes the reserves win a great one against a top four team.

As I said earlier today, Collegians were brilliant, they are clear favourites, hopefully the trolls will stop their SKOB AFL bullshit and talk about Blues who had 6 ex AFL players yesterday.

I'm over this board, let the troll and his mate take over, see you at training.

I'm actually a fan of your measured and far too infrequent posts. You are one of the level headed Skevvies here who act as a sort of antidote to the individual who I'd suggest attracts much of the forum approbrium to your worthy College and old boys outfits. Flanker28 and man in the outer are two others who are usually measured with their comments.

Just a pity the comprehensive win by Collegians brought with it posts that had caveats attached. You know, humble in victory and gracious in defeat and all that.

Hope your visits here are more frequent in the future.

Ok, at least we have the facts now.

Skobs round 2 team is the benchmark, anytime it's not the same lineup they are playing undermanned and the "fill ins" are glorified 2s players.

Glad we cleared that up.

So no more about who was in or who was out please, everyone can just read up each week on the fully interactive, seamlessly built, vafa website.........

SKOBAFL have launched a bold bid on the flag by bringing in ex AFL talent like never before. Big Boys. Big Names. We are all embracing it.
And enjoying it. I think you should also enjoy this AFL boys.
It has nothing to do with the now 18 unavailable LOL you are bringing up today. It's not Anti SKOB, it's just laughing at this last few hours of tripe. As I said earlier, let's hope 22 of your best 22 aren't out next week. What happens if you can't a team?
Play on...

What's that snoring sound ? Is it flanker and man in outer sleeping soundly after getting the nod of approval from the all knowing moderate one?

Liberal doses of mayo being applied once again. To be given the title of an ex-AFL player you need to have played at least one game at the highest level. So by my reckoning the 6 ex-AFL Uni Blues is in fact 4. They played a combined total of 59 AFL games with Kieran Harper chalking up 40 of those.

By comparison the 5 SKOBs ex-AFL players boast around 600 AFL games between them. Maybe that’s why nobody is talking about the Uni Blues version of ex-AFL talent.

At least your consistent, every loss is injuries. Come back to the real world champ, all clubs at all levels have them and players going overseas.

You just continue to bait. At least with most on here we know who they follow and good on them whether we agree or not. They have passion for they're clubs.

You guys are lucky you only had two missing, I was worried about the fact that we had 11 of our best 18 out, then Ginies went off early in the game, but you guys were far too good and whoever goes onto the park is your team, look forward to playing you at SKC.

After watching Skobs performance on sat night those 11 "missing" would want to be Brownlow Medalists.... Their pace, intensity and desire
for the ball were reflected in the final score. Having said that, its only 1 game............

I was also at the game and if the VAFA put Collegians team on the park as the State team, plus an additional ruckman (for back up), they would win.

PS I bet some VAFA officials would turn up to that game.

Loving the anti SKOB posts, there's a few people in this world with a large SKOB chip on their shoulder.
Anyway, to the game. Penski I don't know what game you watched but I though Collegians were clearly the instigators of the cheap shots and physicality, I was disappointed that the St kevin's boys didn't give more back, but they will learn.

Your rose coloured glasses obviously didn't allow you to see Ben Dowd get kick hit, but you are condemning someone for what was a classic hip and shoulder? Anyway, we will see what plays out this week.

I thought the lights and Collegians were brilliant, they were slick, hard at the contest with exquisite skills, and looked to have their strongest possible team on the park. So they are up and travelling very well at this part of the year, and good on them after a hard couple of years.

OX also a trainwreck yesterday, along with Uni Blacks.

All the rest of the stuff posted on here is bullshit, I don't know how people can press post after they type so that the world can view it, maybe if they had to put their real name to it they wouldn't post?

Hello All, Have to question whether the game was that physical...Bit of niggle, few big bumps but didn't think there was anything over the top (couple of suspension maybe..hard to judge)....Collegians far too good. very slick and clean in the conditions. Super impressive. Their backline was great....particularly given the missing players. SKOB need to regroup and have another crack...twelve rounds to go so I'm sure they wont be at the panic button just yet. Could I add a comment re injured / unavailable players. I am always keen to hear who was missing (dont know the side too well) but whenever anyone post it they get howled down as excuses makers. I would have thought actual information posted on this forum would be welcomed. It provides some relief from the player XX is getting 100K to play ammos stuff.

FWIW stop focussing on positives please! This forum is for bringing clubs or people down only....

Methinks you will be back on here before Tuesday night training.

Just thankful that the attention is on the SKOB loss to spare Old Xavs the sword. 4-2 (wins against teams 5 thru 8) and a percentage of 100 is not a convincing start to the title defence. But it is still early days.

Speaking of percentage, Collegians undefeated at 191 is telling. They have been dominant so far.

........

Any wash up of the OX game? Anyone get there to see it? Love to hear some opinion.

Quite an extraordinary score line in the scheme of things...
