So it's our home game, but played at Werribee's home ground? Sounds about right...
Appears it's actually Werribee's home game, but our social media team simply listed us first when announcing the match

Also shows as Werribee's home game on the app

Thanks very much nothing but crickets

Guessing that's directed at the AFL...

It's hard to answer a question no one knows the answer to - seen no mention of what's actually happening with the VFL this weekend

But I'm sure that once info has been released there'll be folk posting relevant info

Yet we have confirmation of the VFLW being called off, don't we? Can't see how it can go ahead, when you would have players from outside the AFL 'bubble' participating.

I'm not sure at the moment, that being called off was based on a tweet but still showing on the app as being played

Just waiting for something from the league or club

Was a tweet from Kingy, though, wasn't it? Would have thought he is getting the right mail.

So would I was he's normally right on the money, but haven't seen it elsewhere - maybe waiting on confirmation from the league as to what they can do

How about no more games between Geelong & Werribee

But this is the current VFL ladder, right?

Some clubs are two games short of others - how can there be any fairness in just playing one more H&A round?

The Cats (and Casey) have done well considering they've only both played 9 games, but Collingwood and Werribee would be annoyed if they finished outside the 8 to Frankston - who'll have played at least one more game.

Not to mention most the teams Southport have played are anchored at the bottom of the ladder.

Oh wow, just checked that and you're right.

On the flip side, it looks like they lost to the Suns 1.2 vs 1.0 - think that was the game that stopped 20 minutes in cause of lockdown.

Just another bloody bizarre season thanks to COVID...

Another triumph of research and objectivity here. The article talks about Geelong's finishing position, and how we can only finish sixth if we lose and the two teams below us win.

We're currently fourth with 7W-2L (167.3%) and will be playing our final H&A game against a team no longer in finals contention in Sandringham (4W-5L, 94.3%).

The article then goes on to predict that we'll finish sixth.

🤦‍♂️

More disruption to the VFL season confirmed. No final round, no double chance, and finals kicking off on the first weekend in September (if possible).

The AFL has been forced to cancel the final round of the VFL season and the first week of the finals after yet another lockdown extension this week.
The finals will retain the top eight clubs but in an elimination format should they be able to start on the weekend of September 4, with minor premier Footscray to meet GWS (eighth), Southport (second) to play Collingwood (seventh), Box Hill Hawks (third) up against Williamstown (sixth) and Geelong (fourth) facing Casey Demons (fifth) in sudden-death showdowns.
The four winners will meet in the preliminary finals for a spot in the VFL Grand Final at Marvel Stadium on Sunday, September 19.

A further week's delay would see the fifth to eighth placed teams eliminated and the top four would play off for a spot in the decider.
