Awesome day at beautiful Beaconsfield 😍 the sun was shining the birds were singing 🎶 there were dogs everywhere,, cars all around the oval, the wafting smell of grilled onions and beef patties filled the air. Laughter was heard by all and sunder
What more could you ask for in life ?
Well I could think of one or two things but to scared to say. Because THEY are everywhere. Everywhere you go THEY are lurking,,looking,, watching and waiting to pounce. Anyhow how good was Coburg and Richmond both excellent. Not a dropped mark between them not one skill error. All 46 players busted there gut from start to finish. Teamwork was exemplary the attitudes were superb. There handball was unbelievable as was the umpires they blended in beautifully. Wow such a great day wish you all could of been here in Beaconsfield to witness such a beautiful occasion 😊 😀 ❤️ ☺️ 💕 ♥️ 😊 😀 ❤️

A lot of you might not have noticed but about 6 minutes to go in second quarter
Robert o gorman every one's favourite umpire whilst running back wards went arse over tit seriously hurting his shoulder and neck and might have had concussion as well. He went straight off the ground and number 1 replaced him.
So there you go 1 minute your running around Holme Park next minute your flat on your arse so 1 simple question did any of you have a VOODOO DOLL 🤔

yep.

"North Adelaide utility Kane McAuliffe has shown his impressive athleticism in front of recruiting staff at the 2023 AFL Draft Combine.

Despite battling injuries at times throughout the year, McAuliffe placed in the top ten in three of the physical tests at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena, highlighting his well-rounded athletic base.

McAuliffe’s power and speed shone through in the 20m sprint, where he was the fastest South Australian and fifth quickest overall with a time of 2.930 seconds.

Earlier in the combine he was the first Croweater across the line in the 2km time trial, finishing in six minutes and 26 seconds.

The Rooster also featured among the top players in the country in both the running and standing vertical jumps tests, with heights of 95cm and 77cm respectively."

I just look at the AFL app tracker. In games played McAullife top 4 on the ground for speed vs EFC. Once only. The old Markov problem.

Actual Fastest player been through 3 clubs.

In the middle we need to replace Bolton. One in 3 centre bounces.

Sonsie’s best attribute is his ability to use the footy, but that degrades quickly when he doesn’t have time and space.

When he has played in the midfield at AFL in spurts over the last few years, that time and space isn’t there.

Even today’s game, found it but when it congested he used it poorly, and he doesn’t have the size, strength, agility or burst of speed to create time and space.

We already have enough guys at AFL level who can find it but don’t use it well enough
Imo he should be in ahead of green every day if the week , peeps say oh he did alright , PA half backs would have had 50-60p between them , if not sonz then Kano

Sonsie is not the answer to stopping this. Green works far harder than Sonsie and is harder at it.

For mine he needs to actually dominate VFL games like Lambert did for example before he was picked up. Whenever he goes back he just plays nice games and looks like a nice, good VFL footballer. He needs to rip some games to shreds.

I trust the crowd gave him a rousing farewell.

karma for cheating

Ryan is good at this level. Not translating it to AFL form. I would not be selecting Colina and hayes Brown.
. maybe neither
I don’t know what plan B is atm re our ruck setup. Nank and then light years.

Not sure it’s worth playing both the Cat B boys, when Ryan and Sims are also in the starting 23. On one hand you need to find out if Colina and OHB can play, but on the other hand you don’t want to stall the development of Sims in particular, but Ryan as well who like it or not is signed until 2026.
We actually lost the hit outs on the weekend to a VFL listed ruckman.

Agree that playing Ryan, Colina and OHB in the same team is not actually conductive to winning but at the same time the VFL side is for development so I can understand why they’re doing it

Once Lynch comes back and one of Fawcett, Bauer or Armstrong also drop back down the VFL team is going to be way, way top heavy

Agree, however I’m not sure that playing both Cat B ruckman is best for development.
It’s limiting the amount of time Sims is getting to develop his ruck skills

If/when he gets a call up he’ll be playing forward/ruck so you want him being developed in the VFL in that role.

I’d be rotating the 2 Cat B ruckman. Find out who is the most likely. I think both are long shots

Long shots is being generous. Their single ruckman broke even with our three. All three are beanpoles with skinny legs, no core strength and very little marking ability. All reasonably mobile for their height, but that is about it.

As you say, Ryan and Sims as ruck forwards, especially with Fawcett most likely back, with Faull. Algar looks more likely to take marks forward than all three rucks.

I didn't really check the hit outs stat.

Sonz & Kmac2 not bad with their clearance work.

When we have Bauer, Blight doing the back up ruck job at AFL level, Sims will be more than enough.

Don't play the Cat B boys at all.

Good point re lack of core strength. From what I’ve seen not big vertical leap for either of them. There’s actually some very tall ruckman on VFL lists, so just having height doesn’t necessarily translate to winning hit outs.

didnt we at one stage loan a player or 2 to another club for vfl games? swear I remember that happening. Could do that with these blokes so they're not ****ing up our talls development. it's either that or the dev league.
