Ah yes it must be tough to be the Pies.

It’s extremely harsh having them leaving vic twice over the last 3 months of the season. Must be really taxing on them.

Perhaps we can find some more advantages for them to even this out.
Tis much for physically and mentally taxing playing Showdowns every other week.

Would be great to get a few more lil 1 hr trips away for a soft off broadway game with no pressure and a glut of home ground advantage games that Port enjoy.

That way we could undeservedly finish top 2 like Port often do, only to be shown up and lose another home final.

As a humble Port Adelaide fan, would you send Eddie Maguire to Taperoo? LoL

???
AFL era in GFs

Pies are 1-4 against non Melbourne teams
Pies are 2-0 against Melbourne teams

Pies want to play a Melbourne based team in a GF
Pies Want to play a Victorian based side in a grand final?

You mean like Geelong in the 2011 grand final? Oh that's right you Said Melbourne based sides.

You want magpies to have all but one game at the MCG. The other game is in Docklands lol

Do you dread travelling to Docklands? LoL

Have a read of the third WA club thread. It's primarily Victorians who want it.

Apart from our Freo friend here, most WA people don't want one, and if you look back to media reports from 2006ish and 2015ish, years both Eagles and Dockers were doing well, that's when it raises its head in the mainstream (Victorian) media.

I do want a Tassie team, but generally speaking there should be fewer clubs all round.
I don't mind a 3rd WA club if it eases the travel burden on both eagles and dockers.

Tassie coming in as team 19 is good. I do want Canberra to come in as team 20.

That means barring the Northern territory, each state or territory has at least 1 AFL side

Would rather the Pies play a home game on the Gold Coast then at Docklands.

Clubs have created ground advantage when travelling - Hawks in Tassie, Gold Coast in Darwin.

A 2hr flight and spend a week(s) on the Gold Coast and play 2/3 games there would be great compared to playing 3 games at Docklands against teams who play there more than we do.

So magpies vs Saints at MCG isn't a home ground advantage for the magpies?

But vs a non Victorian side it is? So you want more non Victorian sides in this comp?

They would if they were successful
Can I suggest you're projecting your state based views.

Vic fans aren't gutted when a non-vic team wins (unless it's against our own team). We're gutted when a Vic rival wins.

Port: Bloody Vic Bias. All this travel is really unfair. It's not just the half hour flight. It's sleeping in hotels. It's not getting the full recovery. It's the time to check in, etc...

By the way, we've organised to play a game in Shanghai.

Don't know what you're talking about.

Port played in China 3 years in a row.... but it was never their home game. They still had 12 games at Adelaide Oval each year.

I know. They chased and negotiated deals to play in China which massively increased their travel.

That is also true. As a magpies fan, you don't want Carlton or Essendon win another flag as Carlton, Essendon and Collingwood are all tied on 16 flags.

Saying that, you probably side with Bulldogs or Saints or kangaroo's or even Geelong to beat Carlton or Essendon in a grand final.

Me personally, I don't care how the eagles go in grand finals.

If the dockers win a flag in 2029 and eagles win a flag in 2030 and 2031, I don't care.

I just want Freo to have their turn to get a flag.

Gutted either way, I reckon
That's because you think state based like a WCE supporter and are projecting.

You might not believe it, but very few Vic fans think the same.

The standard Vic hierarchy of preference is:

Own club

Under dog teams

Successful non-Vic teams

The Earth implodes

Historically successful Vic clubs - they're way down the bottom.

a few vicco's in here are sounding like flat earthers..we are just going to ignore endless facts to support our own convenient narrative

it's not even an opinion that VICbias exists..It does
The only discussion point is how far it extends
If only you had some evidence for your conspiracy theory.
("I feel very entitled" isn't evidence)
