2. Army . Excellent game

1. Russell. Soild as a rock down back on SJ.

5. Gibbs
4. Judd
3. Army
2. Scotland
1. Walker - was great before injury

Russel also another great game

5. Heath Scotland - time and time again he had huge disposals. Created a number of goals and was brilliant defensively.

4. Chris Judd - huge, huge game by Judd. Finally had a monster game against a top notch team. Something I had previously nitpicked him for.

3. Jordan Russell - has Stevie J's number. What's the excuse this time? Truth be told Stevie J is the most absolute front running hack in the history of the game or pretty darn close to it. Brilliant when the Cats are doing well but he's usually one of the first to disappear when the pressure is on. Awesome performance on the rebound by Russell.

2. Bryce Gibbs - leading disposal getter and very crisp all day.

1. Dennis Armfield - Killed Byrnes and was brilliant all day.

A number of others deserving also. Outstanding team performance.

The one I will nitpick today is Kreuzer who had a great game. Had plenty of time to center and kick at goal late in the third quarter but sprayed it out on the full. Geelong did as they always do and rebounded it to the other end of the field and with a brilliant pass from Ablett Jr to Podisiadly could have created a match turning goal had he not himself missed badly.

5. Gibbs - as the game tooks it toll on his teammates, Bryce continued to stand tall.
4. Judd - set up the win with a fantastic first half.
3. Scotland - I've probably underrated his games this season, but he won me over today with his dash & ball use.
2. Russell - once again did the job on SJ & is now living up to his draft pick.
1. Armfield - totally smashed Byrnes & provided great drive from defence.

Could easily have included another half a dozen players because it was such a great team effort.

A big pat on the back to Ratts who totally outcoached 2 time premiership coach Bomber Thompson. Ratts got the match ups right & forced Thompson into being reactive.

It is a great sign when all our votes are differing in some way.

Means we had many winners on the ground and honestly i cant think of any player who did not play well today. Massive Kudos to the team and great all round effort. :thumbsu:

3 off the top of my head from last year: Collingwood - 30 odd touches, Geelong, Brisbane (finals)

5. Gibbs - 4 qtr effort, good disposal, general down back
4. Walker - great run, rebounding, killed hawkins. Was best on when he went off.
3. Russell - Killed Stevie J, great rebounding/run and good disposal except for dogy kick ins
2. Judd - brilliant first half, poor second half
1. Scotland - great run all day.

Like this - possibly have Jamo in for Scotland. I'd challenge anyone who has Carrazzo in - you just can't BUTCHER the ball sooooooo much and be in the best players. Further - he almost deserves a week in the 2's. It's just infuriating watching and waiting for the opposition - that you have for all intents and purposes by the balls - to rebound from kicking errors (EDDIE!!!!!) and get back in the game.

1. Jordan Russel: IMO quite easily his best game. Absolutely thumped SJ, whilst being composed the whole match. Not only was he solid as a negator, but he brought heaps of run out of defence and his decision making was first class, amazing how much has changed in a couple of years

2. Chris Judd: man is an explosive freak who works so damn hard and generates so much run

3: The three musketeers: Eddie, Jeffrey and Yaz made our forwardline so exciting and added so much forward pressure. Amazing how much the dynamic of our forwardline has changed

4: Bryce Gibbs: so classy and always has space. Same is said week after week.

5: Simmo,Scotty, Carrazzo: All 3 are so damn consistent week after week. Cog's in our team

Criticisms:

I will get shot down for this, and i am sorry. Simon White and KAne Lucas just aren't up to it just yet. Both looked quite lost at times, and made critical errors, which could have been extremely costly had geelong converted. They both showed really good signs, and will be pivotal in the future, but thornton and waite have to play. Both looked lost quite often, and had it not been for Bryce and Jordy's composure, the backline would've been in disaray

Devestation:

Tex justr cant cop a break :(
