Karpany yet to hit double figures.

He is not a League WAFL standard player let alone AFL standard.
He is a list clogger and a total waste of a spot on our main list.

How was Parington?
He was ok. Looked willing and didn't give up. Was decent when he got the ball but as fivey said above looks undersized at this stage of his development.

Not unlike Duggan last year in that you can see what he's trying to do or where he wants to go but just gets outmuscled or knocked off his line. Lacks the same polish as Duggan though

Just those 24 games in 2006 for us, missing just the GF. Horrible year for West Coast that was ;)

Was the unlucky one who got dropped from the prelim side vs the Crows for Wirrapanda.

Stats say McInnes was best for the Royals today. No surprises there, mature player now, he is ready to take that next step if given an opportunity

Well not sure what that game looked like in person beyond what those have already written but looking at the stats there doesn't seem a lot of upside. Seems like we played like a bunch of gootballers today.

The stats clearly point to a problem getting entries inside 50 (ie from outside our forward 50) and it sounds familiar to our first NAB game against Adelaide. EP seemed to have similar numbers of disposals but inside 50s were 26 to 55 against, and the Tiges had 30 scoring shots to EP's 9. Lucas led the inside 50 tally with 4 for EP and none of the other WC players seemed to be delivering inside 50 at all.

It's just a WAFL game but it's pretty embarrassing to get thumped when playing with that many AFL players (albeit mostly inexperienced ones). Sounds like our defensive depth is looking ok with Barrass and now Cole. But our midfield depth (especially from an attacking perspective) is still problematic. And we obviously rely heavily on good half forwards to get the ball inside 50, and don't seem to have many in reserve that can do that yet. Disappointing that it seems Giles, McInnes and Lamb didn't step up in our forward line when required.

Geez mate, you seem to jump to a lot of conclusions based purely on figures you've read off a screen.

Stats can be deceiving

He wasn't our best

Stats say Kane Lucas should be our captain.
He is anonymous on a football field - you simply don't notice he's out there. No influence on the game whatsoever

There is a lot to be said about a team that has a complete pre-season as a single exclusive unit. You can't expect a make shift team of young kids to pull it all together in the first game of the season. Of course they are going to be all over the place.
Went to East Perth's first game of last season and they were all over the shop - with the make up of the side, it isn't surprising. Expect them to be up the top end of the table come the end of the season.

And hopefully shit the bed in the finals again :thumbsu:

Yeah I know, little obsessed with stats :) Looking forward to regular season so I get live at the game, stats and replays on tv to analyse from. In my (very loose) defence, my thoughts did take into account what BF posters as that game said as well btw.
