Hmm okay lol. Guess it's still not enough to make someone play for the Beagles.
He doesn't seem to be that connected to the club based on his Instagram. It's all East Perth.
He left because at the time we didn't have a WAFL team. They announced that they were canning the Beagles so he moved to East Perth. Then they changed their minds at the very last minute and decided to keep the team.

And he wanted to come back but East Perth held him to the contract.

Spoke a lot about West Coast in his acceptance speech, very much loves the club and as mentioned has various roles at the club. Looks like a natural to move into a media role after he finishes up, beyond just back chat.

Looks like Peel are into another grand final.

How dumb are Perth not wanting an alignment with WCE? It's would be a win win arrangement.

Perth really don't want a chance at success

Don’t blame Perth, they would do it in a minute if they got to run it totally like Peel do. No club will do it if the Eagles are in charge. It’s a lose lose

It's funny that any measures to get the wafl eagles up to a minimum competitive standard are met resistance from the other clubs. Meanwhile peel have gone from laughing stock to playing off for their 3rd flag in 8 years thanks to alignment, without much kicking and screaming in WA footy circles 🙄

Probably for the most part no one gives a **** about Peel though.

Incorrect, what resistance? Every model the Eagles are not happy about and whinge, whinge, whinge.
Peel and the Dockers have a mutual respect. Peel run that set up not Fremantle.
As soon as the Eagles get their head out of their arse and work with instead of dictating then they will also have a very good model and place for their players to develop.
Do a deal with Perth, but walk away and let Perth run their football club. They don’t need any Eagles staff to help them. Just work with them and they will accommodate most of the time.
The dictatorship doesn’t work.

Have to work with the context that is there, and get the most out of it.

Clearly a potential win-win for Perth and the Eagles. Current setup is obviously not working.

Hope so mate, it needs to be addressed and bashing the WAFL clubs is just an excuse instead of meaningful way to work forward.
The Eagles themselves are the issue, they just don’t want to accept it.

Do you think there's any realistic chance of Perth being the club we partner up with? They've made moves to protect themselves from any alignment. I can't imagine the mental gymnastics to walk this back and expect members to embrace it with open arms.

Perth seem the logical choice by pretty much everyone but Perth themselves. Even West Coast have said they'd be the club which makes sense to align with.

I can’t speak for the PFC mate but I reckon they are running scared. East Perth said the Eagles were a nightmare and I am sure they have portrayed this to all concerned. The Eagles need to fit in with Perth abd not the other way around. A complete about race is required by the Eagles for an alignment to appear again.

Perth and many established fans are fools.

"It'll destroy the fabric of our club." - good, we're a complete laughing stock.

"We'll lose control of our own club." - good. We've proven incapable of running it ourselves.

"We'll lose all sense of identity." - who actually wants to identify as a perennial loser?

"It goes against our proud history." - lol okay. I think my great-great-great grandfather may have seen our last flag. Cool history bro.

"I'd rather win spoons alone than flags with an alignment." - lol okay. Y tho.

Imagine supporting that complete bucket of puss and continue coming back for more.

Wait...
