What injury does Grundy have?
3 times in 12? As opposed to the traditional 3 times in 21.
Shin. Said it ‘flared up’ during the game, second quarter I think.
Agree, or the other option is to play Brodie predominantly forward. The cricket pitch in the middle of the Gabba is probably not a great place to play a ruckman with shin issues.
Lions lack good talls aside from Martin. I think we can get away with playing Darcy forward and Cox in the ruck.

Not relevant, but absolutely hilarious that 95% of Richmond supporters don't even know the right words their theme song. The Tiggers are supposed to risk their own shins , not ours
Why would he be? He’s been played in the last 2 VFL games.
traditional is 3 in 15 (need the third Saturday). But I agree! The way we are counting, the traditional is 3 in 14. The shortened gap between the Anzac Game is likely to have contributed to injuries, but I love us playing Anzac Day - some years it's just a consequence. When it's a Wednesday game - I'd prefer us and Essendon to both play games on the previous Friday night before Anzac Day and thus have the short break before Anzac Day rather than after.
It’s not difficult to soften the ground, I assume we have a groundskeeper.
Golf courses punch holes (coring) about 1cm wide into greens twice a year so they don’t become too hard. Or they punch smaller thick nail sized holes.
If our ground is hard surely it wouldn’t be hard to get a hold of one of these golf course turf punchers and run it over the grass then give it a decent water.
Hate to break it to you mate, but coring greens is actually designed to make them harder, not softer. The coring is done to remove thatch build up (old grass clippings that make greens soft) and then the greens are top dressed with sand. The purpose is to improve drainage and make a faster putting surface. If a softer surface is the aim then realistically mowing the grass without a catcher and building up the thatch would be the easiest way of doing it, but then the grass would be harder to keep alive during summer too because their root systems would be shorter due to the moisture build up in the thatch layer. It’s not a simple fix unfortunately.I specialise in golf course equipment I’ve never actually used myself.
OK Apex I have a thatch build up in my Santa Ana couch. Do I core it or try to de-thatch it some other way?? Between that and a kikuyu invasion I am worried.Hate to break it to you mate, but coring greens is actually designed to make them harder, not softer. You could core it or scarify it then top dress with sand. Scarifying is probably more effective but will damage the grass more too, so you’re best to wait until spring when the couch is going berserk to do it. That way it will repair itself within a couple of weeks.OK Apex I have a thatch build up in my Santa Ana couch. Do I core it or try to de-thatch it some other way?? thanks! What about the kikuyu invasion? You could core it or scarify it then top dress with sand. You can hire scarifiers from places like Kennards. They usually list them as lawn de-thatchers.
Poison it and pull it out. That’s what we used to do. Boiling water will kill it too if it’s only a small patch.thanks! What about the kikuyu invasion?
Aish 4 weeks in a brace and then they'll decide if he needs surgery
