Collingwood skipper Scott Pendlebury is a chance of playing this weekend after scans cleared him of serious injury.
Pendlebury went down with an ankle sprain in the win over Brisbane, failing to play out the game.
There were fears the injury was more serious, with the skipper going in for scans, but those scans came up clear.
Collingwood general manager of football Geoff Walsh says Pendlebury's only worry is bruising.
"Scott is out of the protective boot he wore home from Brisbane and the upshot is that he has bruising to his ankle and lower shin," he said.
"He has been cleared of anything more serious than that, which is pleasing, and he is a chance to play against the Cats.
"We will obviously need to see how he negotiates the remainder of the training week."
thank god.Source Triple M
Bruising could be an 8 week injury at the pies by the time our medical department have finished blow torching his leg.Source Triple M

Good call Kirby...I'm not sure Zorko needs a tag at the moment. He's not in great form (touch wood).
I'd be keeping young Apples in the side to play on Cameron.
But I was 50% right!Good call Kirby...
No structural damage. Will have to see how he goes later in the week.Anyone got any news on how Pendles is going and if he will play on the weekend?
You’re confusing our medical department with StKildas.Bruising could be an 8 week injury at the pies by the time our medical department have finished blow torching his leg.
Magic needle........or four.Missed a week after breaking his leg a few years ago!
Reckon he'll play now that hes cleared of structural damage.
Hopefully works better than the one Mick McGuane had.Magic needle........or four.

I feel like Pendles is the type to do his own thing (extras) than solely rely on our medical department. Reckon he'll get up!

Thank God it was Smith who did the same injury in his return game. I don't think I could stand the 20 pages of expert criticism that would have occurred if it was a gun.Langdon's sounding like a quad issue.
Billy back this week in VFL 60-70% game time
Pendles expected to get up
Maynard/Reid too miss again.
Smith tore his hamstring 20 minutes into return to VFL.
