A mate of mine just messaged me to say Kane Cornes had his say this morning. He expects Tredrea will win despite the President, the coaching staff and the players all having a problem with him.

That makes it even better. Time to bring back some accountability and professional standards. If it upsets those within the Alberton Social Club then so be it.

My understanding is that the Club has agreed to provide the results on the count once the poll closes in a fortnight. It will be the first time it has been made public under Koch - though this was something that was common place when Greg Boulton was President.

Speaking of Greg, he's going to be on AA radio tonight discussing the election.

Hopefully Greg endorses our man!

In that sense Nagle dropping out may hinder more than it helps. The protest vote was always going to be with Tredrea regardless of who was put up against him. With Nagle there the 'anyone but Tredrea' vote was going to be split between Nagle and Abernethy which helps in a first past the post election. Head to head the 'anyone but Tredrea' camp have only one horse to bet on.

Still hoping Tredrea can run away with it, but my brief forays into the depths of the Facebook comments section really does worry me as to how dim some of our supporters really are.

Greg has privately thrown his support behind Warren for a while now, but it is nice for him to release a public statement confirming the fact, as seen above posted by REH.

Don't underestimate the power (pardon the pun) this man has when it comes to influencing other members of the old brigade.

It doesn't work out that nicely. Say Koch does appoint Tredrea in to replace Cahill, in the hopes of muzzling him. Then Warren is still a disruptive influence within the board for the year.

And then we reach now, an election for a member voted position on the board. Where a second person who wants to rock the boat at Board level could be voted in. Koch then has two disruptive members on the board to deal with.

He's played it the right way even if Tredrea does win in a land slide, because the end result is just the one dispruptive board member. And the existing members of the Board can be a bit condescending in dismissing the guy who got voted in for popularity rather than appointed on merit.

I'm hoping Tredders will win and then back a like minded board member for the 2nd spot next year.

Tredders from the interview comes of as honest, straight to the point and you know he will say it how it is rather than be all diplomatic about issues inside the club. The board & club needs him.

Already cast my vote for Tredrea, but just gave this another listen.

I reckon the emptiness of Abernethy's candidacy is properly laid bare at the 10:20 mark, when he starts free associating about streaming and TV channels.

Ready to take the club forward by returning to the days of PTV.

Dont be so sure. That suspect member count is sure something. Wouldnt put it past this regime, not by a long shot.

We have seen the waves of bots they deploy and the muzzling of even the well worded and impersonal criticism of the club on social media.

Feel said it. Those voicing support of Tredders that have experienced and know what success looks like are a vindication of efforts to show the club that it has lost its way.

I implore past players that see the need for change to take the opportunity to PUBLICLY back Tredders.

Any member that can see the malaise needs to vote for Warren so that a message is sent loudly and clearly.

An early battle amongst many in the war for the soul of the club.

This step fails and we have Koch and his successors and please change the name to Southern Power on your way out because it will be another generation if ever before the club finds itself

It succeeds and we have a rallying point for hope a toehold in the ability to be listened too and an anchor for change.
