Toast Warren Tredrea - Elected to the Port Board (Football discussion only)

For what purpose would it be for Chewy to deliberately mislead this board? For shits and giggles? To ruin his own credibility?

I believe he was honest with what he knew, but perhaps that hasn't panned out like he/we thought. He also never gave definitive info, so it could be argued that he wasn't even wrong at all.

Chewy, hope you feel better soon. I hope you're still willing to provide any legitimate info you get. This board can be awful, but I think it's still generally good. ✌️

Chewy never gave definitive information but having said was massively influential and sucked in a lot of posters on this forum.

Chewy had always been very confident of his sources and other posters were too.

For mine, the club is run like a fascist regime with Koch as the powerful but petty tyrant who does as he likes.

I like it when Lockhart Road chimes on occasion. He seems to want to clear the air.

Maybe the realization of what he's really dealing with seems like an insurmountable task for one lone ranger.

He would have to way up his love for the club v his family and the risk of supporters turning on him too.
He’s already failed. Not at all his fault, but as you said he’s a lone voice and vote in a cult.

Many here will claim that if Ken is sacked or leaves in 2025 it will largely be due to Tredrea’s influence. That will be inaccurate but will be widely spruiked as a moral victory for the feels.

It's gaslighting, disingenuous bullshit. You can't have the CEO talk about 3 flags in 5 years and then set the bar at winning regular season matches, or simply finishing in the top 8. What am I supposed to garner from the CEO declaring we want to win 3 flags in 5 years and then when we are completely non-competitive in finals, nobody is held accountable?

Ken also boasted that the club would win multiple flags in his time here, circa 2019-2020.

Now it’s sickening nonsense about having the energy to continue, and taking inspiration from Fagan, as if their career trajectories are the same.

How reliable is your source btw? Or your source’s sources?
I rarely ever come on here and share what I know from the club internally. I normally only share my opinions here. That's mostly because I know I'll cop it here if I'm wrong 😂

So for me to say something I need to be 100% sure it's true. I was strong on Dan Houston stuff when others were in denial since the start of the saga (here and on X), and now I'm confident about the job Tredders is doing.

His Facebook post today read like someone whose hooked on a caravan and driven off into the sunset, not to come back.

Background music : Hold on, I'm comin'.

Possible meanings:
  1. Maintain the rage, huff that hopium
  2. gOoD kNeWz TrEw BeLeAvAz, more father-progeny prospects

I thought that too when I first read it, but he's probably done all he can about the Hinkley situation for now. It's probably the only chance he gets for a decent break away from the media etc. As long as he's back on board when pre-season get's going and there are any decisions to be made by the board.

Yeah, perhaps the reference is people have exposed themselves and aren’t the friends he thought.

You know what they say Rick, friends don't expose themselves to friends ;)

I'm also saying to Tredders to hang in there despite how tough it probably is. It was always going to be a tough task to change enough people's minds in one season. But things can change quickly & Tredders is fighting for our club. Our once proud successful club. That's worth fighting for. And everyone on this forum who live in SA should make it a priority to attend the AGM. And then we need to vocally show our support for Tredders at the AGM. We owe him this.

It's sad that his old team mates don't feel the same way, if they do we can't hear or see them.

Maybe they don’t care because most disrespect our history and used our club as a career

Disagree he has failed. Think that is very harsh. I'm sure he has made positive ground, just not enough to get the outcome we want, yet. The people he is dealing with have repeatedly renewed Hinkleys contract. They won't change their mind instantly. Whether we like it or not, when the KPI remains to only make finals it's a tough sell to push Special K out.

I like you Roger James, however Tredrea would have wanted Hinkley sacked. This has not occurred. On the scale of pass to fail where does this sit. I’m torn as to where he would best serve the interests of the club but my sense is his arrival on the board was too late and change will happen next year if it has to regardless of his vote and voice.

Sad but true. Josh Francou one of these types.

Even blokes like Scott Hodges and Simon Tregenza don’t support Port in the AFL.
