Knights has taken our VFL side from 9th last year to equal 1st this year. Great development coach as we're seeing plenty of promising youngsters playing games in our 1's.

Probably right about Knights but what the f*** does that make Hird ? Champion player no question but as a coach not just a dud but an untouchable dud where he has not been made to be accoubtable after some of shit Essendon have dished up. Unaccountable because of the adoring throng who worshipped him as a player but how long can they cop spineless rubbish like Today. Anyone who has subscribed to the inuendo that Thompson is really the main man and Hird just a puppet are sadly wrong because Thompson can actually coach and would have Essendon playing finals regardless of the injuries, just like Ratten who has had the same shit to deal with and now looks like his coaching ability will be vindicated unlike Hird. Knights a dud ? LMFAO !!!
He's doing a bang-up job coaching the Geelong McGoo's and the big bonus is that youngsters like Murdoch, Simpkin, Walker and a few others are able to step into the senior Geelong side and not look out of place. A very valued part of the Geelong coaching structure now. The added bonus is that the reserves are right in the finals, adding a valuable extra match-day dimension to Geelong's finals assault. We are very happy to have him.
