I get the the feeling the saints will want a yes man coach so that rules chocco out imo.:)

Harvey is a good fit for that :thumbsu:

Very good point rammbo! The last thing they would want is someone who isn't afraid to ruffle feathers. They would probably be after someone with a more softly, softly approach to stabilise things & I don't think Mark fits that build.

Hey guys,

Legit question here, but why would your higher ups stop Choco from being approached for a senior coaching position (regardless of it being St Kilda) when there is likely no chance of him gaining one at the Tiges and is merely there as a Development Coach?

Because we are about to start pre-season next week and all the good coaches are signed up so we won't be able to replace him. We didn't stand in his way going for the Melbourne job because if he had of got that we could have approached someone else. That's the issue with it. All to do with the timing more so than us standing in his way of getting a senior gig.

Because it's nearly December ;)

But isn't the timing going to suck no matter when it happens?

Honestly, IMO Being in charge of Development is as critical as the Senior Coach. Particularly with the influx of players on our list due to the inclusion of our stand alone reserve team.

No, Melbourne asked us in August/September and we let him be interviewed. If he got that job then we would have gone and got someone else to fill the role. Now it's too late to get anyone because all the good ones are signed up. Yeah it would have sucked to lose him to Melbourne but we would have had a chance to get a decent replacement. That's why the club aren't happy. Our pre-season starts Monday with Choco's 1-3 year players.

No, having dewalt as a sponsor gives us so much creativity for media slogans. For example, Richmond bending over and drilling Carlton since 1969. Date chosen at random as it sounds better

I don't even think we've announced them as a sponsor

Sign up doggy. Will provide that outside run and pace we need. Already outpacing our blokes and look at that awareness. 1 year deal, free meat and any broken bones inflicted by RFC players on other AFL players provided chewing is not done during the actual game.

The off season is so long.
