Question should how did some of these kids Shuey, Darling, Gaff etc fall as low as they did in the draft and all the other clubs had a chance to get them and didn't, the first 2 anyway as I'm sure they both went 2nd round.

Gaff ? We took him with pick 4 ! Sure Gold Coast had three chances to take him before that, but they selected David Swallow, Harley Bennell and Sam Day. I am sure that the Eagles would have been delighted to get any of those players if they didn't get Gaff.

Carey has got a point about Darling,the rest is BS ,My recollection was that Darling and Watson were the 2 players in the state 18s championship that were the standouts with Darling clearly being touted as the number 1.
The West Coast clearly did a number with the West Australian and Channel 7 to get the bad boy rumours going,kudos to them they succeeded.
