I heard the same thing before he was even drafted. There was a bit of a stink with the scouts because Fyfe was initially left out of WA's early u18 games. Everyone presumed one of the WA clubs was hiding him and I half expected us to call out his name at #7 - but it ended up being Freo who were hiding him.

Absolutley. No doubt a champion player but I doubt anyone pays much attention to what Wayne Carey has to say about footy these days.

Having said that, if the West Coast powers-that-be had anything to do with getting Jackie D further down the list so they could POUNCE on him, all the more Kudos to them IMO. He is an absolute GUN. Will lead us to 3 premierships like Brisbane's Brown & Co.
