Panicking about the spoon also does not equal flags.

Re: Wooden spoon not a motivating factor

I'd be more worried if it was TBH. If our players were playing like this with a motivating factor I'd be more worried than believing they play like this when not the slightest bit motivated.

I don't care if we finish second bottom, I really care if we finish bottom. Would be a pretty sad day.

This.

Re: Wooden spoon not a motivating factor

I was more referring to it's ok to get the spoon because we will get picks...

It should never be ok to get the spoon, draft picks or not - I would not be happy with going down the Carlton path of tanking for picks - luckily (or unluckily) we won't have to worry about tanking as the losses will take care of themselves. If we win the spoon the entire playing and coaching groups should hang there heads in shame and start packing there bags.

Re: Wooden spoon not a motivating factor

Everything that's coming out of the club at the moment is vomitworthy.

We. Must. Not. Win. The. Spoon. Coming last is an unimaginable horror, but at least most years coming last means the best 18yo in the country. Coming last for pick 4 would be the worst thing that has ever happened to this club.

Re: Wooden spoon not a motivating factor

This club is so full of worms atm it does not bother me if we finish bottom at all, the biggest concern is do we have the intelligence to make it count. I seriously doubt that we do have and this could mean disaster for this club.

Re: Wooden spoon not a motivating factor

Yeah I thought that, then I saw who we were playing in those games

This. We have a ****ing stupidly hard draw for a team who finished 10th last year.
