We must be an absolute nightmare for opposition coaches to plan against at the moment. Take Franklin & Heeney out of the game and Hayward, Papley and Reid will cut you up anyway.

Almost our entire defensive unit has elite foot skills so there's no point playing a defensive forward on any of them. The others will just cut through your zone anyway.

And in the middle of the park the emergence of Warner and Rowbottom means we're so even that we can carry someone who gets tagged out of the game.

A very good win.

Yet.... I half expected the swans to win by 2-4 goals. Swans worked hard and didn't slip up.

Swans best is good to beat anyone anywhere.

Saying that, last time I posted here was the Freo vs swans game in Perth stadium. Swans won that as they worked hard and persisted.

Gonna be tough for freo to take on the magpies at the MCG. The winner faces the swans in NSW.

If freo is out of the finals in the semis, I'm cheering for the Swans to win the flag.

Swans are the best chance of a non Victorian side to win the 2022 flag
Like us, the Freo build is tracking well. A couple more key pieces and you'll be that much closer. Good luck vs Pies.

This isn’t really about the game but how is Parker still only turning 30 this year? He will be leading this side for another 4-5 years you’d think. Just completely indispensable that man!

He is unbelievable really. I think his consistency and durability is what impresses me the most, never seems to have a down game and just never gets injured, despite how hard he goes every time. He has missed less than 5 games in the last 10 seasons for us. 258 games before his 30th birthday, could hit 400 the way he's going.

Sorry bedders but I will worry about it as I think it has consequences. Folks in the media just decide there are certain players they don't give a damn about and slap with the "unsung hero" or "role player" label, and it's a label that is basically a career sentence. It becomes impossible to shake and they go their entire careers without any sort of accolades or recognition, no matter how great they are as players. Like Reg.
We Swans are a magnet for lazy journalism.

On track for a minimum of 350 games. Add a couple more flags in there and he’s probably one of the most decorated players in South Melbourne/Sydney history.

If it ain't related to Buddy they don't want to know about it or talk about it.

How many times do you think Buddy has been mentioned in the "things we learned" or "in three words" type of pieces over the last two years?

Is it possible to "learn" the same thing 20 times?

It feels as though the team is starting the take the form of the hydra - mythical beast that had many heads and every time someone would cut off one of them, two more heads would grow out of the stump.

watching bits of the replay ... that pass from florent to parker for the third quarter goal!
first to see it, then to have the confidence to pull it off
Parker let's Ollie know he is there. He moves I to a small space, but it is a space, Ollie sees that and triggers the kick immediately. Beautiful positioning, sensational kick. Ollie is just so lovable. He tries his guts out every game and is so clever.

Thanks mate. Get the job done against the Pies, we will see you in two weeks time at the SCG.
Your club and supporters are welcome guests here.

Wonder how Judas Dawson felt on Friday night sitting down with his family. :p:p
I reckon he'd have been going for us as hard as anyone on here.

If he has regrets at not playing finals, I don't really care, but he'd have known the trajectories. Clearly a family decision.
