I have a funny feeling that the hawker fans are going to make their pressence felt early this week I bought the fishing thread up early.


Please read the rules in the sticky post but in summary

I love richmond hawthorn games at the g, the southern stand will be packed with yellow, we both seem to have lots of afl members.
Gunna be a very tough game.

Reality - Hawks should win, they are a class act. Buddy will kick a bag.

Dream result - Tiges too fast, run away with it in the second half, Bling gets 29 possi's, kicks 5 and takes a screamer over buddy in the last qtr. and that's the front page picture in the age come monday haha.

The hawks are beatable. 3 of their 5 wins were only by 2-3 goals each. They have a strong young mature midfield, while we haven't quite got our midfield at it's peak, but our mids are working hard. By next season we should be seeing alot more of Cogs, Polo and Cotchin in the middle. We are suddenly a 10 goals better side (than 2 weeks ago) now that we play Richo on the wing. The forward line is open and we kick 5 more goals while reducing the oppositions rebounding goals. Franklin has been the reason the Hawks have won at least a couple more games than they may have. If our midfield keeps working hard, then this will be a close game. Richo will block franklins leads, while Moore or thursfield should be pretty competitive on Franklin. I think we can cut franklins shots at goal in half this week. We should try and contain him to hopefully 5 shots at goal

franklin is the only way you hawks can win games anyway, rest him for one week and you will get pumped, tambling and deledio to have great games, and foley to dominate the clearances as per usual, jake king will run cyril rioli off his legs, dont think cyril is fit enough yet to be honest

There's no better player at roaming between half forward and half back than Richo. He'll back into every contest and Franklin won't have as much space to lead(in the right forward pocket usually). Richo will make it almost impossible for Franklin on occasions. Franklins main trick is the fast lead and mark. But our main aim is to win the midfield and we are fighting hard. Richo was bagging 8 goals when he was 18 and 19 too so Franklin has a long way to go to be mentioned in the same sentence

Really cant see how we could throw this game. Maybe if we feel sorry for Hawthorn but that could be the only reason.

Look for Buddy being forced to tag Richo on the wing, because hes the only one stupid enough to try it.

Tambling to get 35+ possessions and absolutley dominate the midfield.

And i mean really, who are Hawthorns good players? I cant even name any Hawthorn players, much less a player with a slight skill level.

You need to take us on, if you become Buddy centric the game is as good as lost. Play Richo in the backline on Buddy and the game is as good as lost.

No better player eh? I would seriously beg to differ on that one. I think that maybe you might need to take off your black and yellow glasses for a second and have a look at the rest of the competition because I think you will find many more as equal if not better then Richo at going between half forward and half back.

So he will back into every contest Buddy is in will he. So when Hawks get there quick run off half back Richo will be able to beat all land speed records and get to you backline to spoil Buddy? The only player who I would rate of been able to counter Buddy is Edwards from NM NOT Richo.
