List Mgmt. Welcome Harley Reid (Pick 1, 2023 National Draft)

He looked WAY better running around getting the ball and using it rather than fighting.

Hopefully he can start roaming around getting some easier ball.

I'd consider him off HB/wing

I actually wouldn't mind seeing him get a run in the reserves, for two reasons, one is so he can get back to focusing on winning the footy, two to take the spotlight and pressure off him. Once he gets focused and starts winning good numbers at WAFL level then bring him back in.

whoah whoah!!

I brought this up 7 days ago and got absolutely shouted off the site.

I agree with you but I reckon there's way to keep him in the side and getting him into it then release him into the middle in patches.

Wonder if he has km run per game targets?

It's hard to know without being a part of the coaching staff, but from the outside looking in, judging from his training and game performance he's looking like he's come back from off season well underdone, and hasn't caught up as quick as he probably thought he would (immaturity, laziness maybe, not 💯 sure) so I'd drop him back to the two's, gives him a better chance to find fitness and the footy, and it also sends a message that no matter who you are you need to be professional and maintain standards throughout the offseason if you want to be asking for $2mill a season.

But yeah I'm sure all the Harley fan boys will be VERY upset with me 😂 I don't really care, I just want to see the team succeed.

Harley to the reserves would be the biggest footy news in the country.

The fighting stuff is so overblown. He's a competitor, I love it personally

Does stage a little too much for my liking but he can iron that out as he gets more mature. Clearly coming from a bit behind this preseason, but I reckon there's signs there he's about to have a game or 2 that makes us all sit up again very soon

Would pay good money that the mouth breathers complaining about him "fighting" are the same ones creaming themselves last year that "finally someone in the squad is taking it up to oppo players"

If the rest of the squad weren't such softcocks no one would even notice Harley sticking up for himself.

“Oscar’s too soft to be our captain, look at how up for it Zorko is.”
“Harley Reid shouldn’t fight as much.”

It’s tremendous fare.

Also ****, he’s not out there throwing Gaffy’s at people, he pushes back on the campaigners that drive him into the turf, boo hoo.

He doesn't have a problem winning the footy.
Had 6 clearances today.

It would reduce media attention, especially if it's longer than a couple weeks.
Yeh you are right, there is absolutely no way that the speculation about whether Harley Reid will return to Victoria and whether he's happy in Perth will increase if he gets dropped to the WAFL.

Great combative player - in the end you above the shoulders. He competes and makes opponents uncomfortable.
I don't mind that part of his game .

Its the mouthing off to the umps and playing for frees is what he needs to sort out .

The umps clearly don't like it and aren't giving him anything more than blatant obvious frees
