Welcome Patty K. I have a feeling he will be my favourite Pie within 12 months. Going to a lot of Lions games up here, he was my favourite Lion. Just reading this:

Not a guy that i've seen a great deal of to be honest. Do we think that he could project as a Gunston type 3rd tall? He seems to have the attributes as well as some good goal sense from the limited highlights available. Is his set shot any good? You probably have the best development coaches in the league, if they can get Patty motivated you have a hell of a pickup because he oozes talent, just needs to work harder.

Thoughts on Paine? Obviously not going to spearhead a forward line but could he be a role player? Has he ever been tried in defence?

I was sad not to see him given more of a go, the couple of games he played for us in the seniors I thought he looked ok but I think others saying that VFL wise he was lagging a bit. Who knows he might get more of a go up Brisbane way. No one from the pies would wish him anything other than the best of luck.

I'm really saod to see Paine go.

The thing I liked most about him is that he consistently hits the scoreboard, even on his "bad" days. Which is what you want. I think if he hardens up (not bulks up, but axctually gets physically "harder") he could definitely lead a forward line. But I may be in the minority.

Apparently can play defence too.
