To those who think he will only be an "inside player" you only need to look as far as JT. Thomas at the beginning of the year was known to be an inside only player, the rate of improvement in his uncontested numbers and ability to spread was immense.

The same amount of improvement will happen to Adams, he will be a star for us.

Adams has showed some outside Ability. Can take a Strong Mark and is a Very Good Set Shot at Goal.

Also looks to have good Speed and Use the Ball well by Foot and Hands

Maybe, however JT is a jet in terms of his leg speed, particularly bursting from congestion.

Adams isn't renowned for his break away speed, however it will be a joy to watch both these young boys in the midfield for years to come.

JT is every bit as a good as Adams.

So many Pies fans caught up in the hype. When Adams proves to be a good solid player and not a star I wonder if people will turn quickly.

I personally think they are about on par, Thomas IMO seems to have more tricks.

Old theory of attack vs defense. Sure Reid might average 2 goals a game. Good on him. Without him in our backline were conceding an extra 4 goals a game. I agree White is not a suitable recruit for a stay at home 2nd KPF. But Reid is much better to our team down back if we can find a better key forward. He offers way more skills and assets to us in the back half of the field than he does down forward.

Yeah he has played a bit of Ruck in the past and done well . He has the vertical leap to at least chop out in the Ruck.

So basically he's in to replace Lynch. Thank god for that, can't do any worse than Dawes and lynch in the past 3 years.

I am not sure about this. Adams will be a much better player than JT I believe.

He has better skills, will kick more goals and he will be more durable than Josh.

I love what JT brought to the table this year , after so many injury plagues seasons.

Fingers crossed he will continue to improve and stay healthy in the years to come but I believe at the end of both players careers, I think Adams will be the far superior player. He is more of a crash and bash player, has more mongrel and leadership qualities. I had a friend who played juniors with Tay and always said he would be a " Gun ".

Lets hope both are 200 + players and integral parts of our side for the best part of a decade

I think the exciting prospect is, instead of a top 20 pick for a young kid, we have one thats already proven at AFL level and we dont have to wait. I dont think everyone thinks he is the next pendles

He is a massive upgrade on Lynch and we don't know how Witts will progress in 2014 and how much of the Ruck load Grundy will take and if Witts will be a fairly permanent fixture.
White could be more of a permanent forward.He has alot more tricks than Lynch/ Dawes.
Time will tell..
All I know is that I am bloody excited about 2014

I think we are still trying to replace Leigh Brown.. Dawes and Lynch haven't worked because they are the smaller types at 192cm and 193cm

White is Cloke's size at 196cm and he's fast and athletic, he's built more for that forward/ruck position than the other two

I think we will use Reid and White as opposition dictates, and move accordingly when appropriate.

Exactly ! Damn the negativity by some peeps.
The kid was a first round draft pick 3 years ago with 2 seasons and 30 games under his belt and averaged over 20 disposals this year.
With a great midfield around him next season, in a good side, he should be ready to explode !

100 x is a bit rough, JT had a very good first year of senior football considering the amount of football he'd missed. Once Luke Ball is gone (might even be the end of next season) Adams will take over his spot with JT still playing the same role he played this year, which was inside midfield back up, and we will need both in our 22.

Don't mention Bally pulling the pin, that will be a very sour day.

Of course 100x is an exaggeration, I was just proving a point - I rate Adams a superior player to Thomas

I don't think we will see Witts in the seniors next year. Main hope for Witts is that we get a good trade for him.
