Just bumping this for posterity.

Very good, last one missing for this year.

will Henry be next, or will he make us wait?

Probably make us wait. Will be hoping he can increase his value with a few more games on recent form.

But not so much a must sign as Treacy was for me. I am fine with a new contract for him. But he also looks more easy to replace then a best 22 key forward (at age 20).

Eh, would have made him work for it. He's been very ordinary this year. Personally I would have him bottom 10 in the squad and close to delisting but that's just me. He doesn't provide goals, doesn't provide link up play. Not sure what he brings to the team

As a 20 year old KPF he hasnt shown flashes?

I'd love to know what your expectations are of him, taking into account his age and playing position?

Who? Henry or Treacy?
Treacy is crucial going forward. He’s only 20 ffs. He’s going just fine. In terms of consistency, the goals will come. He’s already pushing and shoving players 5-10 years older then him.

Was it game against Melbourne Treacy took that screamer up on the wing?
Whatever that game was he was up the ground all day linking up and kicking it inside 50.
That's the kind of game we're hoping he can bring regularly at the top level.
He's an absolutely elite kick at goal and field kick in the WAFL.
If he can get his head right and bring it at the top level he's an absolute weapon from anywhere up to 55.

He took a good mark against Sydney up the field when we were using him as a conduit moving it forward.

A bit to work with but I am keen to see if he can stop double grabbing so many chances and often putting them down. His goalkicking also has been woeful this year, fairly sure wat WAFL he nailed some beauties, a few shots he has not even scored from 40-45m out.

But beggars can't be choosey, he basically has a spot locked in until Tabs is fit (lol) or Sebit beefs up.

When he arrived he was one our most accurate forwards. Remember he got 7 straight on his debut in the WAFL? For one reason or another his accuracy has gone down hill but that skill is still there inside him. He has a great work ethic so we should back him in to fix it.

Amiss has kicked 29 goals as a 19 year old KPF. Treacy in his third season has kicked 31 goals total in double the games. My personal opinion is he would be a great WAFL/SANFL forward but he doesn't have the extra dimension at AFL level that is required of forwards.

Amiss is tracking better than Jeremy Cameron who was spoken of in the conversation for best player in the competition earlier this year (prior to injuries). I don't think that's a fair comparison.

Perhaps Treacy compares closer to Todd Marshall who kicked a total of 33 goals across four seasons and 34 games.

I think it's a fair comparison to compare two key forwards.

Yeah but he's a smart footballer, links up well, creates space with good leads, and most importantly, Amiss likes playing with him. That'll do for me.

The trajectory and power of his kicks are still magnificent.

One of the set shots he had on the weekend his kick came out fine, but went across the face. You could see watching it, it was how he aligned his body (too open) and that can be rectified within a targeted session or two and then a bit of ongoing focus from Treacy.

"fair" Is a bit subjective here. To what end is the question. I mean you could compare all second-year players to Nick Daicos, but do you question their development if they don't compare favourably.
You can still use said players as a metric in terms of where they stack up. Amiss is a standout player, but Treacy is currently working out to be half the player of a guy a year behind. That isn't good enough in my opinion.

I dunno. Looks to be in the ballpark of a fairly typical KPF development trajectory to me (especially a rookie one who missed a year of footy during the pandemic).

Getting to develop as the 3rd banana behind Amiss and LJ is a real luxury for him. All he really has to do right now is be a decent enough foil by leading his man away from the action, halve contests, use his frame to smash in and create spillages for the smalls etc etc. The rest of his game will come on with time. Creating synergy with the mids and other fwds is the most important thing for him right now.
