And how did the Serong and Young picks come about?Well this time I am realistic. Some people on here actually think we will get a 1st rounder for Henry alone. LoL.
Dockers get the bad end of the trading stick. This is no exception.

Prepare to watch them laugh.Henry has a lot of catching up to do to get anywhere near a career like Danyle Pearce had.
If he gets anywhere close to that type of career the Saints will be laughing.
I've never disliked a turncoat as much as I dislike this worm.
There's been a few over the years.
What day of the trade period do we hear about Liam willing to go to the pre season draft and be taken by WC or North?
I reckon we will get 4-5 days in before Col pulls this trick out, he has already had Sumich and others write about that being a possibility to plant the seed. This has been 12 months and beyond in the making, I think the club is filthy with Liam and will make things as prolonged as possible.
Not sure Freo want this to go the duration but they will want decent trade return. If Saints don’t play ball then it will go the distance. The thing is Henry wants to go to Melbourne so it isn’t in his client’s interest to throw that threat (ie WCE Pre-season Draft) at all. Both North and Hawks will certainly pounce so if Young and Henry have come to terms with Saints they had better pay a decent price. What day of the trade period do we hear about Liam willing to go to the pre season draft and be taken by WC or North?

It's probably their aim to get to liam to hawthorn on the cheap. Not sure Freo want this to go the duration but they will want decent trade return. SOS nominated a massive price on Jack Martin’s head when a deal couldn’t be struck between GC and Carlton. Saints won’t go this route. Can’t afford to be putting a massive price on Henry’s head and Hawks (if North don’t select Henry) will 100% pounce. So he won’t get to the Saints if a trade isn’t done.
NahI've never disliked a turncoat as much as I dislike this worm.

What I find most annoying is how many people are almost subtly blaming us, the fans, for his departure.I've never disliked a turncoat as much as I dislike this worm.

Who's talking about that now? What I find most annoying is how many people are almost subtly blaming us, the fans, for his departure.
As if, you know, he would have stayed if it wasn’t for freo fans “hounding him out” as one prominent freo podcast said a couple of months ago.
We need to remember his name appeared on Colin youngs trade board this time last year in the documentary. The speculation about Henry looking for a trade first emerged BEFORE the end of his third season via a Jon Ralph article in August 2022. He clearly has been desperate to get to the city of Melbourne for a long time. That’s fine - but own it, and dont try blame fans for some non existent reason, to not make yourself look as bad then.
In terms of club investment in a player, that player failing to deliver on promise and then finally starting to look good with a possible 10 year solid career and then turning, Henry is worse than Lobb by a long way.Nah
Lobb will take some beating but Henry isn’t far behind
Liam Henry = Jeff White. In terms of club investment in a player, that player failing to deliver on promise and then finally starting to look good with a possible 10 year solid career and then turning, Henry is worse than Lobb by a long way.
They both radiate FIGJAM vibes.
Henry hasn't publicly dissed his coaches - that's much better than Lobb.
I guess for me Lobb always felt a bit peripheral, Henry is like your ungrateful child.
Forgo about Jeff. Thought we had a few. Good seasons out of him .Liam Henry = Jeff White.
Pumped games and development into. Finally was playing good in his final season with us and then took of and became a star at the Dees.

Oh get over yourself. Liam's a great kid.Oh well, wait until he plays against us at Optus.....
Agreed. Can we lock this and wipe the last 6months from existence? We've already been through the character assassination phase of Henry leaving
Please don't bring it back up again, it's complete bullshit
I hope when he comes back to play here next season Walters or Schultz or someone monsters him with a good solid (but legal) hip and shoulder, early on.Quite frankly Liam has seemingly always possessed a "too cool for school" demeanour whilst at Freo and any fan criticism probably dented his ego. Fairly weak however if that is motivation for leaving. Oh well, wait until he plays against us at Optus.....
TBF just six months ago you were talking delisting him and his being barely at WAFL standard. To then go get all vindictive about him leaving is a fair turn around.I hope when he comes back to play here next season Walters or Schultz or someone monsters him with a good solid (but legal) hip and shoulder, early on.
Something similar to Maynard that time when Langdon said they were a one trick pony and they pies players all ganged up on him would also be nice.
Nothing would be more sickening than watching Henry come over here and strutting about bruise free in a saints win. Ugh.
