I reckon we will get 4-5 days in before Col pulls this trick out, he has already had Sumich and others write about that being a possibility to plant the seed. This has been 12 months and beyond in the making, I think the club is filthy with Liam and will make things as prolonged as possible.

I hope so, but talk is cheap.

Reality is that anything less than a 2nd rounder is basically useless for us, so we may as well try and make a point. If we have the balls.

SOS nominated a massive price on Jack Martin’s head when a deal couldn’t be struck between GC and Carlton. Saints won’t go this route. Can’t afford to be putting a massive price on Henry’s head and Hawks (if North don’t select Henry) will 100% pounce. So he won’t get to the Saints if a trade isn’t done.

What I find most annoying is how many people are almost subtly blaming us, the fans, for his departure.
As if, you know, he would have stayed if it wasn’t for freo fans “hounding him out” as one prominent freo podcast said a couple of months ago.
We need to remember his name appeared on Colin youngs trade board this time last year in the documentary. The speculation about Henry looking for a trade first emerged BEFORE the end of his third season via a Jon Ralph article in August 2022. He clearly has been desperate to get to the city of Melbourne for a long time. That’s fine - but own it, and dont try blame fans for some non existent reason, to not make yourself look as bad then.

In terms of club investment in a player, that player failing to deliver on promise and then finally starting to look good with a possible 10 year solid career and then turning, Henry is worse than Lobb by a long way.
They both radiate FIGJAM vibes.
Henry hasn't publicly dissed his coaches - that's much better than Lobb.
I guess for me Lobb always felt a bit peripheral, Henry is like your ungrateful child.

I don’t get to watch many games at Optus, but I was there for Lobb’s booing and was ashamed of the mob mentality.

TBF just six months ago you were talking delisting him and his being barely at WAFL standard. To then go get all vindictive about him leaving is a fair turn around.
