I don’t know why we are converting him into an inside Mid, we desperately need a congested winger and he has all the attributes to perform that role to a very high level.

I think he is just adding some strings to his bow?

I don't know about best player in the league - there is in the way a certain big-bodied, lank-blond-haired dude with huge marking ability, elite foot skills and evasiveness to burn* - but Noddy certainly could take his burst speed and big frame into the middle to devastating effect.

NOD reminds me of Dipper for some reason. Big, slightly awkward but effective wingman who can look amazing or rubbish all at the same time.
Plenty of development left in him providing he can stay healthy.

I mean Drizzy looks alright and he 'should' be a pretty good player, but gee whiz, I highly doubt he'll ever crack the top 100.

You have misinterpreted what I ment.

I said I highly doubt he ever reaches that sort of ceiling, it's obviously unlikely.

But he has the potential to, which is far more than most.

I've been a Noddy fan since he played his first game.
So much promise, and as you say, may take a bit longer than some others.
He is big, strong and fast, and skilled/
Players like him don't come along every day.
We need to stick with him.

I felt both pleased and relieved to actually see him play at that stage.
It's been one step forward and two steps back for him many times since then, so here is hoping he can deliver in a meaningful way from 2025 and forward. He could become a very valuable member of our team.

He looked like one of those players who benefited from playing in a better team when he went from WAFL to AFL when he started.

Unfortunately he was cruelled by injury the past few seasons but showed what he is capable of the back end of the Peel campaign.

Hopefully he has an injury free run at it now and a big preseason to step it up again.

It was always a mistake to move Hill inside.

Got to say I think it'd be a mistake to not move NOD inside tbh. He's done well on the wing at times but he's always been an inside mid other than his games at AFL level.

I want a little platoon of guys who all rotate in and out so that tags and opposition match ups get messed around. NoD is very dangerous out of stoppages.

I see the appeal, but JOM on a wing is our weakest position (once Bolton replaces Walters) we tried Johnson on the wing but he’s far better inside as was evident when Fyfe started as sub against the tigers. Playing congested side wing means NOD will attend plenty of stoppages and you are right, could rotate through the middle to give a different look. But when we have Serong, Brayshaw, Young, Johnson and Ras who’s best position is inside mid, it just seems a better use of resources to play NOD on a wing.
