Bolton is an absolute star. He is one of those players that seems to have more time than he should, cutting through congestion, finding an impossible target around stoppages that no one else saw, kicking goals from any angle. He has so much talent and X-Factor. He a star in the midfield that will compliment your ball winners but does his best work forward/half-forward.

We would have loved to have kept him but understand that he wants to go home. He's worth more than what you paid for him and expect him to quickly become one of your favourites next year.

I also think the future 3rd from Richmond that was also included in the trade more value then people think.. Considering it will almost certainly be taken near the pick its allocated at the end of the year. bar free agent comparison only so t has the same draft currency ss a pick projected to be a mid round second rounder at the time of trade. Eg how in the 2023 draft a mid table finish got a team a pick around where this pick will likely be taken. It could also b a very handy pick to move up our Saints second rounder in live trading in the 2024 draft just like we did last draft with Cooper Simpson.

The week before GEEL played WCE and Hawkins was knocked out. The WCE supporters booed him off the ground.
I think you have a team that can win the flag next year. I genuinely wish you the best. I am very confident Shai will be one of your best players and be an important component if you do win the flag.

Shai addresses one of our biggest weaknesses as a dangerous small forward and will be a nightmare matchup in the middle for opposition who already have their hands full with Young, Serong, Brayshaw.

Draft picks are always fun and we paid a lot for him, but this is the correct decision in terms of flag credibility over the next 5 years. So hyped.
