How I Met Your Mother fans out there?

Anybody remember the final episode, when Ted called Tracy even though it hadn't been 3 days yet? Lilly and Marshall were telling him he was blowing it and it was too soon, but Lilly could just sense something in the vibe Ted was giving off.

She then said 'not this time... this one's different' with a satisfied smile on her face.

I've seem Lilse, Grimley, Kosi, O'Brien and other talls come through our forward line looking solid on debut... but this one's different.

Yeah, but is he ready...?

Awesome game, but let's see how he pulls up before being a smug bastard. Was a tough game all round so wouldn't be surprised if there's a few sore boys this week.

Has the potential to be the perfect 3rd forward. Athletic, great hands and reads the play well. Our forward line in a few years could be something special.

I deleted nothing - delightfully happy to wear it!
I meant mods controlling the discourse.

Anyhow.
I’m thrilled that he had a great debut.

I just saw something special in him from the outset. He does all the right things you want to see from a KPF.

It’s not always validated w immediate performance but it’s a good feeling that it was this time.

I think Dear could be a top five talent from his draft year. We got extremely lucky.

Well done Calsher, it’s probably a little premature but given the state of our list, why the hell not.
Just move around, be a target, present and bugger the stats.
His dad was an underrated champ for us, I’ll have a tear in my eye when he runs on the ground.
Welsh

Means "boy with big hands"
That’s what CAL means you forgot the SHER bit which means “Who take big marks”

To make it at AFL level it is generally accepted that you need to excel at some aspect of the game. Dear has a great leap and timing in a contested marking situation. Something we have severely lacked in a key forward for too long.

Sure he has a lot of development to come, but he has provided more hope in a single game than many before him

4 tackles. Just keeps cracking in.

He was running off fumes at the end. I really hope we give him some time with Lewis and Chol. Think we could force some mismatches with those 3.

Every single step up that he has taken, people have questioned whether he is ready.

"yeah he's doing well in 19s but he's not ready or TAC cup"
"He's doing well in the TAC cup, but he's not ready to be drafted"
"he's done well in a VFL praccy match but he's not ready for VFL"
"he's done well in the VFL but he's not ready for AFL"

Every time so far he has proven people wrong.

Is he ready to win the Coleman and Norm Smith in his second year of footy?
