And to stop touching own goals!
Didn't mind the one today. Really hard shot from the Wiz and I'd rather our talls compete on the last line than let the opponent mark it.
The Weddle one though...

And to stop touching own goals!
Still only 18 getting matched up on some of the best key backs ……. definitelyThe there is a good argument that his impact on us as a team is as big as any of the other 1st year players this season in the comp
If Battle comes across it could be a three headed monster or Dear Chol Weddle come round 1 2025!I’m just amazed at what he is doing. I’m shattered that M.Lewis is out for twelve months. I would love to see the three headed monster of Dear, Lewis & Chol. They would have a field day on the 2nd & 3rd tall backs of the opposition.
Barring injury, this is almost certain.Lewis may not be the number one forward when he returns with the talent the Dear is showing.
Franklin kicked 21 goals in his first season.
Roughead kicked 6 in his first season.
Dear is currently on 10 goals if he keeps kicking 2 goals a game the last 6 games which is his avg he could finish the season on 22 goals, more than Buddy did in his first.
Roughead second season he kicks 12 goals.
Franklin second season kicks 32 goals.
If Dear can get close to Buddy in his 2nd year, he could kick more goals in a season than Lewis best ever season which is 37.
You are doing him a disservice.
He is undefeated, having been subbed off at 3/4 time during the port loss, shouldn’t count against him.

Big part of Cal's development is squarely down to Gunners.
Heard on the radio, Gunners despite not being named in the team - flew down to Tassie with them and was basically giving Dear one-on-one coaching, helping him with setups pre-game and basically being everything you'd want in a mentor.
Loved also on the Sunday Footy Show, Day talked about how Gunston came back from the Lions a different person almost. Something along the lines of "before, he really just focused on his own game - which is every player's right. But now, he been helping everyone else, which is awesome".
Cal has clearly blown a lot away by how much he's come on, so early in his career - but we are very lucky to have some great support around him too.
Hoping Jack stays on after hanging up the boots

Geez I hope you've given yourself a pre-emptive gold star . That's great work .Barring injury, this is almost certain.
My unpopular opinion 2 months ago is now consensus.
Gunston and Breust are two of the highest "footy IQ" players I have had the pleasure of watching.Big part of Cal's development is squarely down to Gunners.

Unless Worps moves on, Moore will go straight into the #5Surely Dear takes number 19 from Gunston when he retires, like to see him in 13 but don’t think Moore will give this number up.
His dad played 123 games so maybe he could wear the 13 as a once off in his 123rd game, which he'll no doubt reach.Would be nice for him to get his old man’s number one day
If the young man continues the rapid progress he’s shown and becomes a serious player I reckon Moore is the type that would hand it to him in respect to his father. His dad played 123 games so maybe he could wear the 13 as a once off in his 123rd game, which he'll no doubt reach.
I reckon that’s the plan tbhIf the young man continues the rapid progress he’s shown and becomes a serious player I reckon Moore is the type that would hand it to him in respect to his father.
Could never ask your vice captain to do it ……. only possible if Moore offered and was happy to take on another low number that may pop up due to a player moving clubs or retiring.
