Its a pretty big watch in this space. Has Littlejohn cracked the mind of Jeka? There certainly appears to be an upswing in his performance. Perhaps it is simply last chance saloon. I think he's in trouble but would be pleased if he shows a higher ceiling for the last part of the season than before.

Oh I think Jek knows he's in trouble.

Is he a hard worker on the track?

Truth be told in the little I saw of him at AFL level I actually really liked his composure and beautiful field kicking. There's a golden opportunity for him begging to be taken, just needs to seize it (and get a decent run with injury).

I'd be really reluctant to lose two of Kozi, DGB, Jeka in one off-season, would expose our incredibly thin KPP stocks even more.

I think its more about is inconsistent efforts in game and at the contest. This is especially true when he plays forward. He has looked better defending.

Season isn't over. He could string together some games and show that he's good for Hawthorn or another team.

VFL finals is a great place to demonstrate your wares. Also maybe a sneaky Hawks game.

Love it if he could string something together.
Absolutely, he was in the same predicament last year and ended up playing games as a defender in the AFL side. I think had they have stuck to that he would have been better off however injuries have really hampered any progress this season.

Personally would love to see him get one more year with a full preseason as a defender.

If Koschitzke and DGB leaves, if Jeka performs its hard not to retain him. Unless we have some special f/a up our sleeve to cover for them all.

Gotta get a game in the seniors, first.

Has a load of talent. Has he left his run too late?
Surely not..hasn't had a good run with injuries, still young by KPD standards and finally starting to show he can hold down the KPD position at VFL level consistently. His last couple of games back from injury have been good to very good.

Jeka for mine is a definite keeper now. He is such a great distributor from the back half and not many players can kick the ball the way he does! This is a weapon that clubs are looking for.
I am hoping that the penny has dropped and Zane Little-John preaching of consistency has sunk in?
Even though there are some on hear that think his papers are stamped.
I actually find Jeka one of our most exciting prospects when he is up and about!

We could drop Frost...
And Frost is 30 next month, next year his final year of contract... Jeka 21, turning 22 after Frost turns 30

We need to think beyond this year.

If Jeka keeps up the good performances, I would definitely keep him...

When Jeka was playing forward there was a serious lack of urgency. He's not soft but he wouldn't chase when needed and would give up on the contest rather easily.

When playing as a defender at BH this hasn't been the case. He's been applying good defensive pressure and proactively positioning himself to intercept mark. His kicking skills also help set up our rebound.

Due to his injury history + early laziness I had all but conceded he will be delisted. But due to his recent form - and our desperate need for an upgrade on Frost - I think he deserves a shot as our CHB for a few games to see if he has what it takes.

Same here and have the same view for all talls.. any delistings happens first from players under 190, we are well stocked in there for depth as well.

So Morris, Bramble, Morrison go first with Wingard, Frost & Maginess for trade targets.
