He’s a star, not overly quick was the knock on him, but who is at 6 ft 6? Played in a flag with Ned Reeves, Tom Jok and Lachie Sullivan, he will have a good career at AFL level, I’d pencil him in for 100 games at least.

This i believe is the knock on him. Especially with so many of the KPFs these days that are fleet of foot

I like the fact that he is an attacking Key Defender who backs himself in to not just half a contest but actually mark the ball.

All the very elite key defenders had that confidence to back themselves in (Lake, Gibbo, Sicily, Rance, etc).

Makes such a huge difference when your full back / centre half back is actually marking the ball and being an attacking force instead of being a pure stopper.

Reminds me of Sam Taylor. I love defenders like this. Turn defence into attack immediately. Just how Sam likes it.

Hoping he can make an impact in the next 2 games v the Dogs - he's gonna have some serious match ups in those games.

I wonder if getting him to move from Port Melbourne to BHH was conditional on him being picked up by us in the MSD? Would that thought process be at the forefront of list managements decisions?
It 's unfortunate that Blanck was injured which opened up the spot so it's now been accelerated and I'm glad we were able to grab him now as his form in the VFL, and the lack of mature (not old) KPP would have surely seen him at the front of every recruiters list has that form continued from last year.
