This bloke is an athletic weapon. Huge tank, strong in the contest and can take a decent mark.

Good luck keeping up with him for 4 quarters!
"Keeping up" with him is bad enough.

If you ever start lighting up the MCG, Finn "The Fireman" Maginness will start keeping up with you and will immediately douse any flames. He will then make sure there are no spontaneous combustions for the rest of the game.

Legend has it that each time Collingwood play Hawthorn, the ground staff don't need to water the ground the following week.

Won’t be getting dropped anytime soon.

Im not the biggest wrap on his disposal like a lot of others, but his defensive running is so good. There was multiple plays late where he ran to close space that you wouldn’t be able to appreciate on TV. CMac was harbouring through the middle of the ground and Finn was just running at a different level all just to make an option less attractive to the Essendon offence. No stat recorded but with the way the modern game is played he has to be in the side IMO.

His disposal has improved a lot.

It's never going to by game changing like an Amon or a Sicily but all I ask from Finn is to be reliable and I haven't noticed any howlers the last couple of weeks.

Unfortunately there is a lot of confirmation bias with Finn when he makes an error. Like every other player, he makes an error but others don't get spoken of. Fantastic team player that does all the non glamourous stuff.

So stoked Finn got that centre clearance mark and gaoled. Reward for enormous effort, as his confidence grows so will his skill but that gut running effort for all 4 quarters must be exhausting for oppo defenders. Loving watching his story unfold this season. Stayed tuned the guy ain’t going anywhere.

his disposal might never be elite, but from his early days of being a sure shank every time he kicked it, he's certainly redeemed himself.

strong in the contest, good for finals.
The Sure Shank Redemption?

They should make a movie out of it.

Glad he was wearing brown and gold on Friday night and not red and black cause he would've definitely caused us some headaches. Dons apparently came hard for him in the trade period too but he stayed loyal which is rare these days. I've also noticed that he's looking a lot more trimmer / cut (if that's even possible) this season which I feel has improved his agility. His running is an absolute weapon.
