This lad lives the dream man. I'm so jealous of his life.
A year on and we now know the actual trade for Jack Ginnivan
The Pies gave Jack Ginnivan and pick 30 for the Hawks Pick 33. A player and a downgrade pick. Ha-ha-de-fckn-ha. Boom chuckalicker.
And Ginni smoked the pies on the way to 3 Brownlow votes in a game that sunk the pies final chances. Hok Tuah the pies gave us the pleasure.
Um... hahahaha. Schadenfreude to the max.
Aside: I hated Ginni's obvious ducking early on in the season and showed it with many pictures. But he has mostly stopped that and just became a really good, hard working player.
The Hawks are getting the best out of Ginni, and he is giving his best for the Hawks.

It was so good scoring Ginni last year, hopefully we gain another trade of similar value in 2024.
With Barrass likely taking our 1st and a 2nd... on AFL rules a future 2nd... I don't see the Hawks having any moves left. And that is OK. Barrass and Battle is enough.
If Perryman should choose the hawks on lesser pay (compared to the pies), and Sam has sold him on more time in the centre, then yes, we have another true believer. Perryman has great skills and size play mid. He is not fast ... which may be why he wants to play mid. If Perryman chooses the Hawks I will be very happy, if he does not, OK.

I thought Perryman to the Pies is pretty much now a formality at 7 years x 850k. He’s not worth it but he’d be mad not to take that and secure his financial future.

Amazing how the media froths over an insta comment - but hardly anyone of them jumped on the fact that Ginnivan showed some remorse to the team.
Ginnivan is one of those attention magnets. You can say that he does it to himself but the frenzy around him is unlike anything I've seen for a player forging a career. I mean, it's not like a Judd or Harley Reid who are hyped beyond anything due to expectations of being the league's best player - he's a small forward performing above expectations.
Anyway - I'm glad he's one of ours and thought he had a great season. Foot injury seemed to slow him down a little but he can turn a game which isn' tsomething I knew before he came to the club

My 1st thought was, if they both choose to represent the club in this manner they can both rack off regardless of their talent. 2nd thought is this requires some sort of club sanction.

Whenever the ‘Jack Ginnivan’ thread gets bumped, my conditioned reflex is, ‘what’s he done now?’. And of course, he never fails to deliver.

Agree. I’m a parent but the reactions in this thread and in the Hawks in media thread are starting to border on disturbing. Here’s an overreaction. Do you think these players will go out in public again for the fear of their safety. I wouldn’t put it passed them not to. Because that’s where this is all heading with Jack Ginnivan.

No need for over-reactions, whoever scheduled the clinic for the morning after the B&F should have rethought it, but the players agreed to it knowing it also. If you were one of the kids and you were super excited to see your hero and then they dont show up because lets face it they had a few too many the night before, you would be pretty dissapointed and not a good look overall. Parents should be refunded the $65 they paid and kids invited to a free clinic where Ginni and Wiz actually turn up for it.
