I'm sure Josh is delighted at this suggestion... Not.Once we are fully fit, I see him as the ideal sub.
I think Maginness would beOnce we are fully fit, I see him as the ideal sub.
Players like Ward and Mackenzie thrive when they have a distinct role, I don't think either are particularly suited to being sub.Once we are fully fit, I see him as the ideal sub.
Sorry but I think this is ridiculous.Once we are fully fit, I see him as the ideal sub.
I kick therefore I amTo kick or not to kick, that is the question.
Except he literally wasn't just 1 week ago.Sorry but I think this is ridiculous.
He's just played arguably his best game for the club. His field kicking is elite even though we use that word a lot, it definitely applies to Josh.
Was one of our better players against Essendon and stepped up in the last when others were fading.
Best 22 without doubt.
How often in any season does an AFL club have zero injuries?Once we are fully fit, I see him as the ideal sub.
As a man kicks, so does he become.
That's what I meant of course. There's no way he could be dropped and if he maintains this form he's best 22.A 'permanent' Best 22 really only exists in the minds of Big Footy posters.
This week Ward is best 22, based on his performance...so I strongly suspect he stays...you don't drop someone who just played a very good game.

"Once we are fully fit, I see him as the ideal sub."Which part of what I wrote was ridiculous?

I just think that on current form following on from that game he's best 22. Playing him as a sub when he's clearly playing very good football is a waste and therefore ridiculous.
This. You could argue that any and all of Ward, Frenchy, Morrison, Maginness and CJ are Best 23, depending on what we want out of our Best 23 on the day. They all offer our side something different. You could probably throw Breust and Gunners in with that lot too. We’re top of the ladder and have nigh on 28 blokes deserving of starting.
Should probs delete all threads dedicated to players then lest we succumb to the chatter fitting of weak mindsStrong minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, weak minds discuss people.
Kick a man a fish and he eats for the day. Kick him to death and he eats for the rest of his life.As a man kicks, so does he become.
He does generally get a shot at goal per game. I’ve got no doubt in a few seasons he kicks them and his confidence and external recognition goes thru the roof. Hes too precise a kick to keep missing them.Ward is developing nicely IMO. His game last week was quite mature and very solid. My one little comment is that he still doesn't look fully confident in himself. I'd like him to have a crack at goal occasionally as he always looks to dish off, even when seemingly open. Sometimes the less difficult option is to have a ping.
He just needs regular time in the first 22 as once he believes, his game will go to a higher level.
Horney from CD had Ward the third highest ranked player on the ground on Friday night, with elite disposal and 7 loose ball gets.
He was very still to miss round 1 after his finals performance and pre season form.
Has to be a lock going forward.
