Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn : Massimo D’Ambrosio

Real quiet game tonight.

Did a lot defensively but didn't get his hands on it much.

Bombers kept trying to drag him deep forward lined up against a much taller winger and he seemed to hold up ok in the air for a little guy .

I feel like his body language suggested he was struggling mentally against his old side. He had a couple of moments late in the game he would want again.

He’s been a star no surprise to have a quiet game. Sides got to put time into him great for his development.

I know Wiz got the plaudits for the goal, but that kick from deep in the defense by Mass was genuinely one of the best kicks I’ve seen from a Hawk.

If you’re a Bummers fan, you should be violently ill watching that.
It was Jarman/Pritchard on steroids. When you see how far away from the target zone Day was, he put Day in the perfect spot to take the ball (at full stride no less) so he could then put it onto Gunston. People were worried about Carlton coming out firing with a point to prove. All you can prove is what your maximum capacity is and Massimo showed them that ours is higher than theirs.

His kicks move our players around like they're on a chess board. "No not there, you'll be cut off, let's put you THERE!"

Even Massimo's 'quiet games' aren't too far off being works of art.

You just feel confident that we'll own a wing after reading his name on the team sheet. You'd think in a year or two, he will be the complete player.

He's just not too far off that now even, with standout run, vision, kicking under pressure, and wicked hardness.

Sicilys 70m kick to Battle who didn’t break stride on the members wing the week before is the best single kick I have ever seen live.

Masss kick was sublime. It’s incredible that Essendon who butcher the living suitcase out of it couldn’t find a role for him. The Chief on Foxtel commentating the bombers crows game now being very very critical of Essendon it’s a pleasure to watch.

He only had seven touches to HT, with six of them being in defence. It looked like he was going to be shut out of two games in a row, and three of the last four.

Then he had eighteen in the second half, and most of which were on the wing and in more dangerous positions for us. No surprise that we looked much better when he was getting more of the ball.

I was watching Mass just after he kicked that dart to Day. As soon as he saw Day mark it , he gave a fist pump. I'd be happy with that kick too.

He's hit a few kicks this year that have been pure sex.

If someone out there has some time in their hands, a wee cut off some his lasers would be amazing...

His kicking to Day, from behind goals vision, is something else.

He literally puts it to space and forces the receiver to run to it. Incredible footy smarts.
