Nah. He should be himself.
Kane wants to marry Hawthorn
Highlights package and what he’s gonna be aren’t great argumentsThat's because I've read through the thread and realise everyone else has already made them. Or haven't you bothered.
Yeah it was his finals series where he really put it all together. He looked potentially awesome all year though but that doesn’t mean he should have a got a voteIt is not a projection award, he is a small forward who missed some games, kicked 18 goals by the end of the H&A season.
Simply put his body of work was not that impressive for a first year player.
Now do not get me wrong he is a star in the making, he has all the talent in the world and he will be better than a lot of the guys if not all of the ones that finished ahead of him. But he really was not horribly snubbed like some people are desperate to make out.
So, you said he missed games and that was a reason he should get any votes, and many responded that many of the players who GOT votes missed more games. As one example of you completely ignoring all the arguments against your ridiculous assertion.Highlights package and what he’s gonna be aren’t great arguments
That package must be missing a bit the one I saw came in just under 10 minutes.Have you seen the Wizz’s 5 minute highlights package?
Probably a lot more than that as we missed a fair few completely early onHe had 43 shots on goal.
Cyril kicked 20.18 in 2008 and came second. Nick kicked 18.25 and got nothing.Cool, he kicked 18.
Watson will be special, his first year he took a while to get going which is totally fine.
It is a projection award, which is why it is called rising star. The whole point is to identify and recognise players who appear likely to become future stars. It is not an award for stats accumulation.
That package must be missing a bit the one I saw came in just under 10 minutes.
Which would be valid if it was the only reason I listed. My point was 18 goals as a small forward is a solid but not spectacular return. Ignoring potential he was not snubbed. So, you said he missed games and that was a reason he should get any votes, and many responded that many of the players who GOT votes missed more games. And they aren’t competing in the same year. People acting like he was clearly better than players like Robert’s and Hunphries didn’t watch other teams or are just biased.Cyril kicked 20.18 in 2008 and came second. Nick kicked 18.25 and got nothing.
Just sayin'......
So let's compare him to someone who did get votes. (This basically summarises every point others have made.Which would be valid if it was the only reason I listed. My point was 18 goals as a small forward is a solid but not spectacular return. Ignoring potential he was not snubbed.

Yep had him covered statistically and was by no means clearly better than Watson. But he is someone who made his mark defensively more than anything this year.So let's compare him to someone who did get votes. (This basically summarises every point others have made.
To say he didn't deserve votes is laughable.

No one is saying he was robbed, or he deserved the actual medal, but to not get a single vote is utterly laughable, and to actually think that was just and deserved is even more so.Yep had him covered statistically and was by no means clearly better than Watson. I don’t get why some are so obsessed with feeling he is being robbed or whatever. His second half of the year was really solid. If he played at that level the entire season he would have won the award. He didn’t though and again the award is meaningless
Why is it laughable, who was he clearly far and away better than? You could throw a blanket over almost the entire field last year. Was he maybe a little unlucky not to snag a vote or two? Maybe. Was he robbed of any votes? Nah.No one is saying he was robbed, or he deserved the actual medal, but to not get a single vote is utterly laughable, and to actually think that was just and deserved is even more so.
Just showed you a player he was far an away better than over the course of the season, and you're delusional if you think otherwise. Don't bother replying I won't see it.Why is it laughable, who was he clearly far and away better than? You could throw a blanket over almost the entire field last year. He will be a superstar for the next 10 plus years, that’s all I care about. Can’t wait to see him tear the league apart this year.

Chris Grant kicked 51 in his debut season.Dear 25 watson 25 is that the best return from two draftees ever?
